Aerator for Kitchen, Bathroom Faucet, 15/16 Inch Male Thread, Water Saving Flow 1.5 GMP, Brass, Chrome

We have had the same faucets in our bathrooms for over 20 years and, up until a couple of months ago, never gave a thought about the aerators. But, when one needed replacing, I did a bit of research before deciding on the Ulteri aerator. Like most fixtures, aerator specs differ, so you have to be sure you are ordering the right item, but if this the type aerator you are looking for, then the Ulteri is an excellent choice.There are three things to keep in mind when purchasing an aerator: type of aerator, size, and flow rate. There are two types of aerators available, male (threads on the outside of the aerator) and female (threads on the inside). This particular model of Ulteri is female, designed to fit a faucet whose threads are on the outside. Be sure to check the faucet before ordering. Second, most aerators today are 55/64 in. for female and 15/16 for male. However, there are some faucets that take a smaller aerator, known as a junior aerator. The junior aerator is approximately 3/4 inches in diameter. Before ordering an aerator, measure your existing aerator or the faucet opening.Finally, flow rate, measured in gallons per minute, determines how fast water flows through your faucet. A water-saving aerator like this Ulteri has a 1.5 GPM flow rate. If you just use the aerator in the bathroom for washing up, brushing teeth, shaving and the like, this flow rate will give you plenty of water. On the other hand, if you need to fill up large containers on a regular basis, you may want an aerator with a 2.2 or 2.3 GPM flow rate to get the job done quicker.For those who are looking for a 55/64 in. female aerator with a 1.5 GPM flow rate, the Ulteri is an excellent choice. It is 5/8 in. long with a stylish chrome finish. Installation is quite simple and takes only a few seconds. Simply insert the washer that’s provided inside the aerator, and you can securely install in by simply screwing it on by hand. I didn’t use any sort of wrench, and the aerator hasn’t leaked since I screwed it on my bathroom sink. (Note that the specs for the Ulteri MALE aerator says it comes with an enclosed wrench; the female aerator does not.) Once installed, the aerator has easily provided a strong enough stream of water for all our needs in the bathroom.It’s not the most glamorous purchase on Amazon, but it’s often a necessary one. If an when you need a new aerator, this model Ulteri will do the job, as long as you are sure of your specs and your needs.

Per a previous reviewer, I also expected 2 with a wrench, but got 6 with no wrench. OK with me since I still have the wrench they gave me on a previous order. This reviewer also said no gasket....in mine, there are rubber washers underneath the aerator which are not easy to see. Mine worked perfectly, so having 5 in the bank makes me happy. I have no idea what the flow rate is, nor do I care--seems fine. There is such a thing as adjusting the valves (knobs) to what you want.

I bought these as advertised at 1.5 gpm to replace my old aerator with too high of a flow rate and an uneven stream.The bad:1. No gaskets. Leaky. The product was advertised as two aerators, two gaskets, one wrench/key. I got six aerators, no gaskets, no key. Without the gaskets it leaks. I tried three wraps of Teflon tape but still leaky. Maybe this was just a mistake in my shipment.2. No wrench. I tried tightening it with my own wrench, and the product bent immediately. They are very weak. Best to hand tighten them.3. Not much flow restriction. I bought these for the 1.5 gpm flow rate, but they seem to let about 5 gpm through. So I was not able to reduce my flow rate, which was the main reason I bought these.The good:1. They look nice, not plasticky.2. Standard size, easy to install aside from the missing gaskets.3. Nice aerated flow stream. It’s just what I wanted.4. Cute box.

I didn't receive the tightening tool with this, as expressed by other commenters. Also, there were no picture instructions. Simply, all you have to do is twist the piece onto the faucet opening.That said, even though I love this fixture piece, I was concerned because what if during mailing the pieces inside this aerator had come apart. You would then have to search online to find a picture of how to put the inner 2 pieces together.If you have no clue about fixing things and the the inner pieces looked differently than your old aerator, you might be confused.So the reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because there should have been a small picture of how the inner pieces of the aerator fit together and consistency on what's in the package( all customers should be receiving the same things-some received a tool with it. I didn't.

This is great. We just moved into a 25-30 years old house. It has old style faucets in the bathroom. When you turn on the water, it splashes a lot. I was thinking about replacing the faucets but didn't want to spend on them right now, a lot of other high priority things need to be taken care of. I saw these on amazon and order of them yesterday with one day delivery to test. Took off the old ones and put them on. Turned on the water, and wow the water flow is very smooth now. I was a bit confused about with gpm to order, thought 1.5 may be too slow but to my surprise it is as good as you would need. Now there is no splash of water and I can wait on replacing the faucets for sometime. I order 2 to test now I will order more so I can fix all the bathroom faucets.Thanks!

These came in an attractive, almost jewelry-like box. In my package I got 4 (FOUR) of the aerators, not two like I thought I was getting. I wanted 3 total, so I ordered two packs, and now have 8!!Great deal - made my Grohe chrome faucets work like new - maybe better than new. Old aerators were clogged & beginning to corrode from our hard water.

Great product for 2.2 GPM. In my opinion this is not 1.5 GPM as it's advertised by the seller. Flow of water is normal with this aerator, does not restrict flow as expected. This is the reason for 4 stars. For 2.2 GPM I'd give a 5 stars. Anyway I kept the aerator because it's good

The media could not be loaded.  I bought a Bristan tap.... good quality apart from the nasty aerator. The flow from tap was just horrid - hopefully the video shows this. After removing the original aerator I found it was poor quality jagged edged plastic and heavily burred. This replacement aerator has proved a cheap and effective solution to my dribbling tap issue.Hope this helps.

These are a bargain considering you get two proper chrome plated brass aerators, (beware of some other lower quantity aerators which are just chrome painted plastic), plus a handy fitting tool.I bought these not to save water but to try and solve the problem of our bathroom mixer sink tap being so powerful it sprayed water out of the sink. Fitting one of these aerators took two minutes and solved the problem, the result is a nice controlled stream of water that even on full flow doesn't spray water everywhere.

great item, before fitted tap used to bounce water off the bottom of the sink and spray out over the worktop, or when filling kettle used to spray up the window, now these are fitted a nice steady flow and no water spraying everywhere, this is great sorted out the problem, thanks

Great stuff! Quality chrome aerators come with a plastic key allowing to unscrew old part and fit the new one. Both done in 5 mins easy to do even for a woman. Cheap considering that you change them once and you are done for years. Imagine how much money you will save! Plus you are using water resources responsibly as every human being should :)

Easy to fit, and restricted the water flow as well as aerating it. That's great for saving water, but not for clearing air that has collected in the pipes, so I removed the internal perforated white plastic screen. There's a much better flow now and it clears the air pockets nicely - and the outlet is still aerated by the final grey grid!
