Q: Can they be used in the oven to make square mini cakes?

Ignore the other comment, silicone is actually oven safe. As for these particular molds, I am not sure. According to a quick google search silicone is oven safe up to about 375F. I would contact the company or look for specific oven safe molds before using these in your oven. :)

Q: Are these 1/2 cup capacity? What are the dimensions?

The capacity is just under 1/2 cup, each cavity can hold 3.5 fluid ounces. The dimensions of the cube cavities are 1.875 inches.

Q: tops i purchased these before and this time they did not include a cover for the tray....any reason for this and where can I get the tops???

I didn't receive covers for my trays.
