comfy
purchased these to use after a radical prostatectomy. very comfortable. as advertised, sort of a hybrid of briefs that are a diaper as well. interestingly, the inside pad of these seemed softer and more comfortable than the depends 'guards' which i also purchased through amazon. i was pretty sensitive after catheter removal, possibly overly so as the catheter brought on a uti, but the guards were not nearly as usable as these the first couple of weeks. i think as the guards are stuffed into your normal briefs there is also an added pressure that these don't have. so, more roomy and a bit softer feeling than the guards. as i said, a uti may have aggravated the surgery and made me overly sensitive, but i would recommend these for the first couple of weeks post catheter removal. further info, i had a robotic prostatectomy and had very little leakage post catheter removal. these 'underwear' easily lasted a full day and night each. as for sizing, i have a 33 inch waist, and the s/m were perfect and still some room to spare. and btw, this is for 4 packs of 12, or 48 diapers, for about $0.80 each at the current amazon pricing. if you are looking into these for use after a prostatectomy, good luck and good health to you.

48 Briefs for $40, Great Price
Quality of these briefs, when compared to other briefs, is outstanding. Yes, if you pull excessively on the waistband in any one place, they may tear, so just be gentle and pull up in front, then up in back, then up on the sides, etc. This is common sense and if you treat these properly, they work well. Fluid retention is A+ and no leakage after going thru months of these. Really like the grey and blue manly colors. More brands should go with colors, as they look like underwear and are not glaringly white. If you are on the fence about ordering large quantities, buy one small box at a local store, then buy large quantities online here at Amazon. Best deal if you buy 4 packages at a time. Thank you Amazon, for making my life a little bit easier.

Best Depends Yet
These "real fit" style are not as blousy for the elderly parent and seem to fit much better. The only reason it did not get 5-stars is that the price is about double of the regular men's depends. We cannot afford to buy these all the time and only use when going out. The regular depends are used more at home and especially overnight - due to the cost. The Real Fit are about $1 each and depending on Costco sale, the regular depends are about 40 to 50 cents each.

The best adult pull-on for men.
These are the only pull-ons that my father likes and wears. He is continent, but wears these to feel confident during long car rides, outings, and to bed overnight. He would have never considered wearing adult diapers until I purchased these from a local retailer on sale; after his recent hospitalization. Now he wears these daily because disposables are more convenient and sanitary; especially when dealing with the occasional skid mark. The fit is snug, but comfortable, and the material wears like cloth briefs. I can't even tell that he's wearing diapers under his slacks. Yes, these are definitely more pricey than other diapers, but well worth it.

DEPEND UNDERWEAR FOR MEN
I chose this product for my dad -- he has been recently diagnosed with Lymphoma and has experienced incontinency, partly due to a long hospital stay involving a catheter. My mom tells me the elastic around the legs of this product eliminates any "leakage" which provides her and dad with more confidence when "accidents" occur. I think they are a little pricey and would like to see a decrease in the price due to the fact that the majority of men using this product are probably in the same "Medicare" and "fixed funds" situations as my parents. That said -- I would highly recommend this product!

Depends, Real Fit
This is one of the newer product by Depend. The first package I bought was Lg. XLrg. and I' a pretty good size man but they were leaking. So I tried the small-Med. size and they fit perfectly. no leaks and they were so comfortable I hardly knew I had them on. I would highly recomend them. They are a little higher priced then the reguler Depends but like they say you get what you pay ffor. Also Amazon has a great program where they will send you a case once a month and give you a dicount on top of that service.

Good but not perfect.
These are fine for most daytime activities but I have a couple of complaints. First, the material that makes up the brief does not breathe at all so on hot, humid days it mostly fills up with sweat. You have to peel it off like a wet swimsuit. Second, there's no absorbent material on the sides so if you sleep in your side there's a good chance of either leaking or having urine pool inside the brief and then leaking when you stand up.
