So, it has been pretty wet and rainy. I ordered some of these kits for kids to do and today felt like a good day. The youngest is 8, and though the instructions were sparse, he was able to understand them with help.The foam is plastic coated for durability and indented or raised in different spots to help you know what colors go where. We did use markers to write what color went where on the turtle anyway for the eight year old, and the two things together really helped. The turtle needed a little filling in and help finishing because it became tricky for him to hold, but it was 85% accomplished by his little hands.Between sorting the pieces, making the animals and clean up, we spent almost two hours total on three people each having one.Yes, our octopus is different than the picture. We were aiming for jelly fish, due to a love of jellyfish in the family. So we marked it out with sharpies, put the legs in varying up and down wiggles and altered the pattern from there.There were plenty if extra fabric pieces and we didn't break a single punching tool. Maybe they changed the design from old sets, or maybe we did a good job always punching straight down, but they worked for us. We used the punch tool to put a hole in the eye spots before pushing the eyes in, and that made it much easier to insert them.All and all these sets can be very fun for an older child or a younger one with help. They do take time, so if that means breaks or marathon crafting, it is up to you. If you have a patient child and you want something you can even do together, these are really cute kits. They are not an amazing value when you look at contents, but they are much better value than many other kids craft sets. We will be buying more!

Absolutely adorable craft for kids! My two girls 8 and 9 both love putting together these fun little creatures. We have purchased a few items from The Orb Factory and they do not disappoint. I am tired of buying cute little craft kits that turn out to be absolute junk and a waste of money. If your kids love crafts, this is the way to go. They are a little more expensive but you will end up with something worth keeping when they are finished. These are bright, good quality and easy (but not too easy) for the little ones to put together. These keep my 8 year old busy for hours. Thank you Orb Factory for great quality crafts for my kids! We have about 4 or 5 and I will continue to buy them for my 3 kids.

We bought two of these ORB FACTORY LIMITED 10027971 Plush Craft 3D Sea Life Mini crafts set for gifts. They seem easy to make and display. There are other kits from The Orb Factory, but these three sea creatures are so cute we had to buy two!

Fun for the kids and different type of indoor activity for the winter.

Sweet little craft to do with my girls. I appreciate that there were 3 critters, I have three little girls and the price was great. My 8 and 10 year old did just fine with the craft alone but I did help my 5 year old.

I purchased this for my 7 year old. She loves them and was able to do all of them by herself

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas & he loved it. My nephew & his cousins immediately pulled out all the bits & created their plushies. The base of the plushie seems to be some kind of a pliable yet firm substance. It was kinda squishy lol. The kids made amazing creatures with all the tools provided. An excellent buy. I highly recommend buying this as fun project for you or the kids.
