Fabric abrasion and stains wont come out
The first thing I noticed is the color is not quite as gray as the picture makes it look it's kind of a khaki undertone a very interesting color. I bought this to replace my 24-in black Samsonite that has problems with the wheels due in part I am sure to the airlines. I travel often for business and pleasure and did not want to spend a lot of money on luggage that's being checked. I use a Hartman softside carry onor a Delsey hard carryon and Ill never check those two. I went with a soft side to check in because it offers two nice size exterior pockets which I use often when I travel. Quality appears to be good but I will update my review after I fly to Miami and we will see what the airlines do to the suitcase. Has a nice removable zipper pouch and has a long interior zipper portion and a zipper on the inside of the lid straps appear to be very easy to adjust and the handle appears to be very good quality and I like how it has handles on the top and side. Wheels appear to be good quality but we all know what the airlines do to the wheels! This is why I refuse to pay a lot of money for anything that I am checking on an airlines. UPDATED: I probably should not have gotten this color as it is starting to show some spots perhaps a darker color would not. I've even tried cleaning in the spots will not go away. Also I've noticed that the fabric is experiencing some abrasion which I've never had with any other soft side suitcase brand. I use the suitcase often whether traveling by car or checking in with the airlines and have put one of those inexpensive fabric protectors on it which does help a little bit. 09.21.25 UPDATE: Fabric abrasion has increased around edges, even using luggage protection. So this must be happening when I taking driving trips. I've never had this happen with any other soft side suitcases.

Looks great after many trips, everything functional too!
I bought this for a European trip two years ago, and since then it’s been to the Caribbean, all over South America, and multiple trips cross country. It’s. Held up very well - to me it looks new! Rolls well, the handle easily slides in and out. I just love how light it is too! My version is approx 140 cm L+H+W. Going to buy a second one for a big Asian trip in 2027.

good size
storage capacity is great ,it held a week's worth of clothes and essentials for a hotel stay. love the color, zippers are durable and love the extra capacity zipper. I was able to organize things well with added outside pockets and extra inner zippered pockets. Very sturdy item and glad I chose this one with 4 wheels so it can stand without tipping over like the smaller ones with only 2 wheels do.

It's pretty good.
It's been in a few flights and overall it's pretty good. Now that I've used it a few times, my only complaints are these: 1. One of the zipper pulls broke on one of the front pockets. Unfortunately, it's the pocket with only one zipper pull, so if i want to use that pocket it's really irritating. 2. There are strings pulling from the rolled seam trim. I really hope this doesn't mean those pieces of trim are going to fall off at some point, but I'm a bit unhappy about that. And, 3. There is some similar thread pulls around some of the grommets, which has me concerned about the overall strength of the construction. At the moment these things are minor, but I do worry it will wear out long before it's time.

SwissGear Sion Luggage: A Traveler's Delight
I recently invested in the SwissGear Sion Softside Expandable Luggage in the stunning burgundy color, and it's been a game-changer for my travels. The 25-inch size is perfect for medium-length trips, offering ample space without being too cumbersome. What stands out is the luggage's durability. The fabric feels robust and has held up well against the rigors of travel. The expandable feature is a lifesaver, especially when I've needed that extra bit of space for souvenirs or additional items. The wheels glide smoothly, making navigating through busy airports a breeze. Another aspect I appreciate is the number of compartments and pockets, which helps in organizing my belongings effectively. I'm also a fan of the color – the burgundy is rich and easily stands out on the baggage carousel, making it quick to spot. Overall, the SwissGear Sion Softside Expandable Luggage strikes a great balance between style, functionality, and durability. It's a solid choice for anyone looking for reliable luggage for their travel needs.

Spinner Wheels Failed Almost Immediately
I purchased this SwissGear 25" Sion spinner suitcase in May 2026 specifically for a 30-day vacation through Europe that included several flights between countries. Unfortunately, it didn't even make it through the second flight before problems began. The suitcase handled the transatlantic flight without any issues. However, after the first European flight, the front spinner wheels locked up. Instead of gliding smoothly as a spinner suitcase should, it became a suitcase that had to be dragged behind me on the 2 rear wheels or push it at an angle to get the wheels to roll. It was impossible to roll using the extended handle, so I had to push it using the top carry handle through airports, train stations, and city streets. What should have been effortless became frustrating and exhausting. By the second leg of the trip, the zipper pull on the main compartment had torn off completely, making the suitcase even more inconvenient to use. After just three flights, the fabric was already showing noticeable wear, with several areas beginning to tear. I expected much better durability from a brand like SwissGear. For comparison, my wife traveled on the exact same flights with her two-year-old 24" Delsey hardshell spinner. Aside from the expected cosmetic scratches, her suitcase still rolls perfectly, the spinner wheels work as intended, and it has held up remarkably well despite being much older. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with the quality, durability, and longevity of this suitcase. A piece of luggage should be able to withstand more than a few flights, especially when purchased for international travel. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this suitcase.

Well Made
This Swiss Gear suitcase is well built and has held up well on my recent trips. The wheels seem to be better than the other suitcases I've bought in the past, and lets be honest, the wheels usually wear out before the luggage itself. This suitcase seems to be the perfect size to pack for an extended weekend, and is easy to handle in the airport. I would definitely purchase this brand again.

The SwissGear Sion Softside Expandable Luggage is the "BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK"
I bought one just like this one about four years ago and it is still like new. My signficant other's birthday was comming up in September, so I asked her what she wanted, she replied a new suitcase. I went on AMAZON in march and they had the Swiss Gear Sion Softside Expandable Luggage in a 25 inch on sale for $110.00. I opened up an account with AMAZON and i got a free gift card for $80.00, I used to buy the luggage she wanted. The final cost was about $40.00. I looked at the color choices and bought the Teal color on, she loves it. This suit case is well built and has allot of room for cloths. The wheels are very sturdy and can spin around freely. It is light weight and easy to handle. There is a handle on the bottom and the side of the suitcase The top handle is made of strong metal and pulls out very easily, their is a release button on thop of the handle. It look good and is expnadable. The zippers are not cheap ones, they are very sturdy. This suitcase is comfortable to handle. The material is a very strong material and I never had any problems with it. Before I bought this suit case I read the reviews and what people had to say about this suitcase. Most of the reviews were very good. I basically went with my experince with the same one I bought four years ago and have done allot of travel with it. This suit case is built bullet proof. When you have a well built luggage like the SwissGear Sion Softside Expandable Luggage you take good care of it. It will last and perform like new for years. So if your in the market for a 25 inch check out SwisGear Sion Expandable Luggage you won't go wrong if you buy one. A buck well spent is a buck well spent. This piece of luggage is the best bang for your buck.

Very happy with these luggages !
Very happy with the luggage. Hopefully the wheels will last well. This is always the issue I find. I love that they have a handle to grab underneath, between the wheels. It makes it so much easier to lift on a rack or in a car. I also really like the colour Pewter.

Great customer service
Not sure how many stars to give this luggage. The 2nd time I used it, the retractable handle couldn't be used...I couldn't raise it at all. However, I made a claim directly to Swiss Gear using their pretty easy online system. Within a week or so, they sent me a coupon to purchase any medium sized piece of luggage directly from their site. Maybe I just got a 'bum' piece of luggage to start with (which happens) or maybe there are systemic flaws in the design or manufacturer, I can't say for sure. But clearly their customer service deserves 5 stars!

The fact SwissGear is still selling this model is proof enough of it's ruggedness!
After 13 years or traveling multiple times a year to international and domestic destinations my previous SwissGear Sion's wheel gave out, well the airline finally did the coup de gras on my last international trip. I bought the exact same one in a new color. The fact they are still selling the exact same model after all these years is telling.

I love the colour!
The suitcase seems to perform well. Easy to identify and roomy. Too bad it isn't waterproof
