Excellent Wood Stain – Beautiful Finish!
This Varathane Premium Fast Dry Wood Stain in Dark Walnut is absolutely amazing. It gives wood a rich, deep color and dries super fast, just like the label says. I used it on a DIY furniture project and the results were professional-looking with minimal effort. No wonder it’s been bought over 5,000 times – it really works! A little goes a long way, and the half-pint size was perfect for my project. I’ll definitely be buying more for future projects. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality stain with fast results.

Nice job
Sizing was smaller but did the job with the wood. Color stands out now and not rusty, made the handles look new. Not heavy and the quality is good and easy to put on without any messes.

Would recommend for any wood project
This worked great for my shed and garage work bench. Came out great after being shaken and applied. I like the look of this as its not to dark of a stain but just right.

Professionally Made
Used this today for first time. Painted it on, left for several minutes, then wiped it off. WOW! Stained the wood as if white washed or even as if driftwood. Really like the results. Very easy to use. Clean up is of an oilbased type. Value, great.

Great color
Exactly the color I wanted. Took a really long time to dry. Over 24 hours and the color was still rubbing off onto my hands when I touched the wood. Used on fir kiln dried lumber.

Works great!
This worked great! One coat covered new wood and left the whole bench looking like new...easy to use and not much wait time. Smells like stain but not too heavy. Small container but went a long way.

Very good stain
I provided photos of the test wood I used. I dipped a corner of a paper towel into the stain, and then applied it to the bottom right corner. Then, instead of wiping away the excess, I tried to spread it as far as it would go. The first photo, the lighter one, is pretty impressive coverage. Obviously, if I was actually staining something, I would apply more stain to the lighter areas. The other photo is the second coat, applied the same way. My conclusion is that a second coat really doesn't change anything it it's applied adequately the first time. I also think the stain looks exceptionally nice.I almost didn't buy this stain for two reasons. One was because it came in a can. I use it for hobby purposes, and one can will last a long time. Well, the stain will last a long time. I don't think the can will, and that's kind of a problem. The other reason is because it's oil based. I'm kind of clumsy, so I prefer using something that doesn't create a catastrophe if I accidentally spill it.I am, however, disappointed at the color. That's called "barn red". It seems more like a light cherry.
