Fantastic solution
Our septic vent pipe was spewing nasty stink. After verifying we had no septic, well or plumbing issues, we found this as a solution. Our vent is horizontal, not vertical. We had the option to add an elbow and extension pipe, but what a hassle. Drilled a quarter inch hole in the center of this cap. Placed it on the vent pipe and secured it with the metal band and screw. No more stink. This little cap completely fixed the problem, quickly and easily. Highly recommend.

Seals well with no leaks.
The caps are made out of flexible rubber, and they fit perfect perfectly. I noticed that the size of the caps can accommodate a schedule 40 versus an irrigation 8 inch. The straps are high-quality and they work well. No leaks.

Excellent UV resistance
Has held up unpainted to 6 years of weather exposure on the top of my camper van to cover my chimney when not in use. I've got a wood stove in my van and this keeps the chimney nice and dry when in motion. The hose clamp make it easy to take on and off when I need to use my stove.

Fit an odd-sized old pipe.
I had to use a little silicone grease and lightly tap the cap on with a rubber mallet (don't use a metal one or the edges of the pipe might tear the cap) but I got it to fit just right on an old clean out/drain pipe that was just slightly larger than this cap (the next cap size was too big). Feels durable. Glad to finally have the open pipe covered.

Fits 12” diameter tube. Wish I had found this first. Wasted $20 on a steel mesh cap.

perfect
I have a patio drain, with a heating cable, that needs blocking every spring when the river floods. This is the only solution that can keep the cable from being damaged and keep the water out. It costs a little more but it is definitely worth it.
