This is an attractive and functional grab bar that I recommend but an effective installation requires correct sized anchors and screws. I installed this grab bar next to a toilet but must say the installation hardware that came with the bar seemed inadequate to complete a stable, practical installation. I could not come up with a way to catch a stud on both ends of the bar without angling it in such a way that was counter to the configuration I wanted (or that might have compromised the bar’s functionality). I wanted the lower portion of the bar closest to the toilet to be parallel to the floor with the angled area up and away from the toilet. With this configuration I was able to affix to a stud on one end with one screw (using a larger screw than came in the package). The remainder of the bar had to be affixed using anchors and those that came with the bar were not large enough to attach firmly to the sheetrock wall. Fortunately I had a selection of anchors on hand to select from. I ended up using Triple Grip Cobra #10 x 1 ½ inch anchors

Not easy to install given where I had to put this bar. I had to buy a wallabot so I could see the studs and plumbing and the electrical wiring behind this wall and put it where it was still comfortable for my customer to hold onto. I Will give this product a big thumbs up for it actually being all stainless as well all stainless screws. Mollys are useless if you can't find a stud...that said, we had to find at least one stud and the rest were cut thru the wall using a a butterfly. If you don't know what a butterfly is, time to call a pro to install this bar for you.
