Really happy with this, it helped me knock out some brickwork and then take off old tiling work, the handguard I found to be quite sturdy too. I thought it a good price and decent quality.

I bought this specifically for a renovation project, taking a room back to the original brickwork by stripping off old lime plaster which a lot of had unfortunately blown. For the price, it’s a solid bit of kit, but it’s not without a minor "budget" quirk. The Good: The steel is surprisingly decent. It hasn't dulled yet despite several hours of pounding against masonry. It gets right behind the lime plaster and pops it off the brick in clean sections, which has saved me a lot of time and effort. The "Slight Issue": The rubber hand guard isn't actually fixed firmly to the shaft. While I’m working, the guard tends to slide up and down with the vibration and impact. It means every few minutes, I have to stop and knock it back into place to make sure my knuckles stay protected. Verdict: It’s not a dealbreaker, especially if you’re on a budget, and it does the job well once you get into a rhythm. Just be prepared for a bit of manual "re-adjustment" of the guard throughout your project. Good for DIY, but a pro might find the guard issue a bit tedious.

I recently purchased the Amtech G2700 10" x 5/8" Cold Chisel, and it has quickly become an essential tool in my kit. This chisel is built to last, with a sturdy and well-machined body that holds up well to heavy-duty tasks. What I liked: Durable Construction: The hardened steel material ensures that the chisel stays sharp even after several uses on tough surfaces like concrete and masonry. Perfect Size: At 10 inches long, it offers the ideal balance of precision and leverage. The 5/8" blade is wide enough to cover decent ground without sacrificing control. Comfortable Grip: The design allows for a firm grip, making it easy to use with a hammer without slipping. Versatile: I’ve used it for various projects, from breaking up brickwork to cutting through thick mortar, and it performs exceptionally every time. Conclusion: Overall, the Amtech G2700 is an excellent cold chisel that performs beyond expectations. It’s durable, easy to handle, and gets the job done efficiently. Whether you’re a professional or a DIY enthusiast, this tool will serve you well for years to come. Highly recommended!
