These are perfect support pillows for those who need to keep their legs and back elevated after surgery. I also use them for knee pain after a long day on my feet or to simply sit propped up behind my back. I'm normally a stomach sleeper too, but with these I was able to adjust being on my back with little to no discomfort. They stay in place on the bed which I also loved.

"In Just 10 Seconds, Wow"...My "Forias 12" Wedge Pillow" went from vacuum compressed to FULL SIZE in just 10 Seconds!I was delighted, since so many reviewers of the various "Wedge Pillows" on Amazon complained that their's didn't "re-inflate" to the correct size in days or even weeks.Mine arrived fully wrapped, cylinder shape, a bit smaller than a rolled sleeping bag.1st: I removed the clear tape covering both ends of the "cylinder shape."This revealed that the "cylinder shape" was a clear plastic "tube" with the Wedge Pillow inside of it.2nd: I cut the edge of the of that "tube" and began to pull both sides to continue tearing the tube.That released the Wedge Pillow, which was in the 2nd, and last plastic bag, the "vacuum bag."This bag "contained" the factory vacuum that kept the Wedge Pillow compressed into a very small volume.This "vacuum bag" was much larger & longer than the Wedge Pillow, more than a foot at one end.(Note: This is a convenience for we end users trying to open the wrapping without damaging the Wedge Pillow inside.)I could easily see where the heat sealing of the bag was done, a finger wide line near each end.3rd: I made a small cut in the vacuum bag, inside of that "finger wide line."To my surprise the Wedge Pillow completely inflated in just 10 seconds, with an encouragingly healthy woosh sound.I cut away the vacuum bag to take the Wedge Pillow out, it was great, 100%.It's size is great for me, I'm 5' 8", and I fit well on it with a conventional pillow.There was very little "smell" with mine; that "smell" was gone in about a day.

I bought two of these, one for my head to be elevated and one for my knees. Sleeping flat or on my side has caused so much pain on my hips, shoulders, and knees. Plus I’ve been waking up with swollen eyes. I typically sleep 5 to 6 hours in misery. I climbed in bed with wet look like an obstacle course and laid with my upper body elevated and my knees raised on the other wedge. I slept 10 hours and my husband said I slept so soundly that he occasionally check my pulse. I had an electric bed that elevated your head in your feet, but I never slept better than on a regular bed with these wedges. I don’t know how people in the old days live beyond 50 without the gadget we have now.

Wedge pillow is super comfortable and soft. I like how the pillow is not too firm but also not too plush. I use it at night to elevate my legs and also use for my back. 10/10 recommend!

I've had a wedge pillow for some time now. It was time to replace my old one. I got this, not sure if there were two sizes (the page shows two diff prices but no details on the higher priced item), but I got the lower priced item (the smaller item?). This thing is HUGE! The images show a woman sitting up and reading with the pillow upright and falling below her head. NOT! This thing extends about 6-10 inches above my head. I couldn't get my head above it if I tried. I wanted a 12" base. That's about what my old one was. But because it was shorter, there was more of an angle, perfect! This one is so d long/tall, that there is hardly any angle to it when I am sitting up, rendering it useless. When lying down, with the pillow "flat" (thicker part at top of bed with LONG angled part under my body) it is just about impossible to lay on. I tried and tried to get my head towards the top, but my body is on the pillow and my head is about a foot from the top (thick part). So I'm almost falling off my bed feet first. The angle is very subtle, which is ok when I'm sleeping (and not using it for my back, like when reading), except for only being able to use the bottom foot or less and this thing taking up half my bed. I wish it was at least 6" shorter. I probably need two of wedges, one for sitting up and one for sleeping, but this particular one suits neither. And I paid almost $50 for this! :'(I also saw a review where some guy was lying on it and said that he sunk into it (a good thing he says, and I agree), this one has no "give" whatsoever. It is as stiff as a board. I am 5'7 and weight in the high 100s, for your reference. And yes, there IS a layer of memory foam on top of the regular foam - which I don't like because memory foam is hard.I ended up cutting off 6" of this and it is better, but still, out of the box, it is huge.

I bought this pillow to help my husband elevate himself in bed and on the sofa while recovering from abdominal surgery. I was not expecting it to arrive the way it did (squished in a vacuum-sealed cylindrical package), but as soon as I removed the plastic it sprung into the proper shape. It provided the perfect level of support for my husband while he was sleeping, and also when he wanted to sit up on the sofa to watch television. He used it for over two weeks, and in that time it did not deform or lose its shape in any way. My father-in-law is having surgery next month, and asked us to recommend a pillow. Instead of providing a recommendation, I simply ordered one of these and had it shipped straight to his house. I would absolutely recommend this wedge pillow for anyone who needs to sleep in a slightly elevated position.
