The bigger sizes stay wide open when you go to put things in them making them as useful as harder plastic/glass containers. Some of the smaller ones are testy about staying closed but will do it more easily when they have hot food inside, or with some finessing - sometimes I’ve used a binder clip; once placed in freezer/fridge they seem to stay closed (even when I don’t use a binder clip!) That you can put hot food in them without worries of melting plastic makes me super happy as I cook with cast iron often and getting food out of those pans so as to get them clean asap is a high priority. Being able to go from hot to frozen to hot without changing containers is such a nice perk. Dishwasher gets them throughly clean, although the smaller ones tend to need to be towel dried after. Will be ordering more.Haven’t had these long enough to score on durability but they seem to stack up to more expensive competitors just fine in that regard, if not better. Planned obsolescence is everywhere; but I suspicion these will give me more use for the money than any other food storage I’ve tried, especially considering these won’t shatter if dropped or melt if put them on the bottom rack of the dishwasher.

I have both this brand and the more expensive Stashers brand. They are both nice and thick and seem durable, like they would last for a long time. Depending on what you put in them, they are easy to clean in the d/w. You just need to make sure they are open to dry thoroughly.Neither brand actually keeps my food fresh, though! My tortilla chips went stale in just a few days, and some spinach in the fridge also went bad faster than when in a tupperware container. I'm pretty sure I'm closing them securely. If not, then I still wouldn't recommend bc that would mean they are really hard to properly shut.

I've tried several types, some have had to go in the trash because they just did not zip after a few months of usage, which defeats the purpose so I hope these continue to close easily. I wash all mine by hand even if they say dishwasher safe so you would think the zippers would work. So far these zip easily but I've only had them for a couple weeks. I think these will continue to work well.

Bags were sturdy, but… just too small. Didn’t work for me.
