I make copper jewelry, and I sometimes use regular copper washers (the same thing a plumber uses) to create artistic elements. I have been chasing that coveted mirror finish for years and have never really gotten it until this! The pictures are of a regular copper washer that I polished the right half of one with a Dremel, cotton mop buffer and Zam for like, less than a minute. No sandpaper or other prep first, just a dirty ol' washer and Zam. The surface is so shiny it looks black in the photo because it is picking up the back of my phone like ... well... a mirror LOL. I used it once and ran right back here to by another one. To answer some concerns ... -No, it's not supposed to be soft or like putty. It's rock hard and dry. The friction from your buffing wheel or pad heats it up and it transfers over. Don't overdo it; a little goes a long way. All the buffing compounds I have ever used are just like this. -No, there isn't a cap ... There may have been one at some point, but they fall off and it doesn't matter. You can push it up from the bottom as you use it. -No, nobody's used it and returned it, that's how it comes. Don't worry... It's not French eye cream it's buffing compound so it's fine 😂 Seller is great, fast shipping and an amazing product!
