Trish Burr's work inspires, her work is beautiful, & her technique flawless, a fact easily observed by the photographs. The picture quality is great, the book is a comfortable size to have handly for quick reference. Her instructions are easy to follow, & the results are incredible

Another top quality book from Trish Burr. She’s a master of thread painting and in this book adds color thread painting to traditional white work. Very creative. Good instructions. Great photography as usual from this publisher. A must-have for any experienced embroiderer’s library.

I love this book. It has wonderful instructions and illustrations. The author also includes little historical notes scattered throughout and provides sourcing information. Very inspiring.

If you're interested in learning about surface embroidery, I do recommend Trish Burr. Her designs are lovely and the instructions are very helpful. There actually is some good information about color work, but I like the originality of these designs.

This beautiful, full color book begins with the basics of whitework: materials, preparation, color, and stitches. Then it moves into 17 projects separated by difficulty level. The projects include patterns to trace, stitch diagrams, thread keys, and instructions. The instructions are easy to follow, and she provides videos on her website. I've already begun practicing, and am looking forward to completing some of these gorgeous projects.

I cannot say too many kudo's for Trish Burr. What incredible designs and quality of materials she sells!!!! She is also courtesy and kind with patience to spare. Readily answers her E-mails with responses to questions fully answered and easy to understand and follow. Her books are easy to work with and comprehend. She cannot possibly keep releasing enough designs to satisfy me!!!! I love her designs and hope she continues to produce her beautiful designs, both whitework with colour and needle painting for many, many years to come.

D'abord j'aime l'idée de ce mélange ente trois sortes de broderies ; la blanche -beaucoup- la penture à l'aiguille dont l'auteur est une des expertes reconnues- et le crewel -un peu . Les points sont extrêmement bien expliqués et à la différence de beaucoup de livres, l'auteur donne le nom des fils utilisés, avec photos à l'appui pour montrer les différences d'aspect, des conseils précis et judicieux pour celles qui veulent réaliser les modèles , chaque petit fragment est photographié et expliqué en détail , c'est remarquable . Le même dessin aussi proposé avec des variations . Débutantes comme confirmées peuvent y trouver leur bonheur; Au delà de la reproduction, ce livre donne envie d'explorer les mélanges de techniques et de couleurs Je le recommande vivement !

Another superb book with a colourful twist to a traditional technique. As with all of Trish's books it is well laid out with clear instructions and step by step photos, using well known thread brands. The projects are beautiful, from beginner level 1, to level 3 (17 projects in total to choose from). Highly recommend! A real must-have book. Am now faced with the dilemma of which project to do first :-)
