I was using cheap Amazon ones but was disappointed how fast they worn out. These last much longer and when paired with the DeWalt DCM200, it's an unstoppable combination. They eat through metal like no tomorrow. I feel like they're worth the extra money.

I recently purchased a belt sander that uses these, along with a box of belts from that same vendor. I've used the sander mostly to sand off the top of spot welds, where I can't easily get to them with a spot-bit drill. I was happy enough with the sander, but the belts didn't seem to last very long. Then I bought these 3M belts merely to restock my supply. The first belt has already lasted longer than 2 or 3 of the previous belts, so it will take a lot of sanding to get through a box of 10!

worth every penny. have yet to have one break. grit will be gone when i finally need to change them. if you battle with these things snapping all the time, try these. cuts fiberglass like butter and does fine with spot welds. only change them when the grit is gone so far none have broken.

These belts last a long time grinding down welds on my restoration project. With my first belt, I have ground down approximately 6 feet of stitch welds, and that same belt is probably good for another 4 feet of welds. You don’t have to push hard just use very light pressure. This belt is very expensive. Would like to find it cheaper somewhere else.
