Q: My tank is 12 x 48 and there is no "spine" down the middle of the tank (broke). Would two of these lights be safe side by side if that they fit?

It would probably be ok , but I would cut a strip of wood and put it where the spine was. Just to let you know, they are flimsy and both of mine came broken on the side where you can flip open the front. We needed them so I super glued ours and kept them.

Q: What size hood fits a 55 gallon tank? Or do i need to buy 2 hoods if so what sizes?

We bought 2 to fit ours one on each side of the divider.

Gawd! Why can't someone who has this lid on their tank just pick up a tape measure and list the correct dimensions? It would save us all this grief.

My tank is 12 x 48 and there is no "spine" down the middle of the tank (broke). Would two of these lights be safe side by side if that they fit?

What are the exact dimensions of this hood? The inner lip on my tank is 22 7/8" X 11 3/8" will this lid fit?
