As good as DeWalt
I have no issues charging DeWalt batteries or aftermarket batteries with this charger. It is just as good as the DeWalt for less money. Don't hesitate to buy it.

Is it working or am I incompetent? EDITED
-Unpacked it, plugged it in, and dropped in a 12v battery and nothing did the same thing with a 20v battery for the same result.-Putting a 20v battery on to charge with one bar of energy holding my tongue in the correct position and playing around with the battery position I manage to get a solid red LED (indication of full battery).-If I put a 12v on, hold my tongue just right, and put the battery in just right I get a flashing green LED.Nothing addresses what a green LED means.-The unit contradicts the claims of compatibility with 12v stating 10.8v/14.4v/20v MAX.The 'instruction manual' is a complete joke of safety info with zero useful data about its operation. Not to mention the translation into English is something to behold.Returning this POS.EDIT- Turns out I am just incompetent. If you press the battery down firmly to get it to properly seat it works as exected.

Disappointed. Does not charge 20V Max Dewalt batteries.
I have tried 3 different 20V dewalt batteries in this charger. At first, we thought The charger worked as as we could use the battery for about 30 minutes and then it would be empty but I think in retrospect we were just trying to charge batteries that had not been completely empty. Now that all three of our batteries are completely dead, it is clear that this charger does not work. We have tried everything from a few hours to a few days without success. I purchased this charger two months ago and because we used it in frequently just now tried to return it. This was not possible and that is also frustrating.

Updated Review
Update - This charger for 20v OEM and compatible DeWalt power tool batteries works like a charm at a fraction of the cost of a DeWalt OEM charger. I know because this is the second one I've purchased and I've been using the first one as an adjunct to my one OEM charger for quite awhile mow. This second one is as an "in-case" item. As I said in my first review, these may very well come from the same place as OEM and just get a slightly different label slapped on them.Original Review - A lot of US power tool brands, including DeWalt, seem to have adopted the business model of the computer printer and razor makers; i.e., sell the main item at a reasonable price, then soak consumers on the things they need to make it work, like ink cartridges and razor blades. I have a GEN-U-INE Dewalt charger that, fortunately, came as a promotion with my first DeWalt tool but if it ever fails, I won't get a second mortgage to buy a new DeWalt - I'll use this one that likely came from the same place anyway. Until then, I might want to charge more than one battery at a time. By the way, I also always buy after-market ink cartridges and grocery-store disposable razors. They work just fine too.
