Rubik's Cube Impossible 3x3 Puzzle Cube & Brain Teaser Fidget Toy

This puzzle is wonderful on multiple levels. It is my new favorite twisty puzzle, hands down. Just for a start, the visual effects of the lenticular tiles are more interesting than is easily conveyed in photos. From certain angles, each of your eyes may see the same tile as a different color; ironically, this sometimes means perceiving so-called "impossible colors" like yellow-blue or red-green as your brain tries to combine the visual inputs. The main thing I love is that this puzzle is genuinely challenging even for someone who has played with many twisty puzzles. There are two different solutions; the first is shown in the product photos and videos where each side appears as a solid color from a particular angle. This is quite a fun challenge by itself. But the second solution is substantially harder, and really raises the challenge level beyond what I expected! For the second solution, each side "twinkles" the correct color as one views it from changing angles, but there is no single perspective where all tiles on one side show the same color. The one "clue" as to which tiles were correct for the first solution (they show the same color at the same time) is of no help at all in finding the second... instead it was a deduction problem, and quite the mental workout! There is still room for improvement in the design and implementation. Many of the colors can be difficult to tell apart... a tile that shifts between red and yellow might sometimes appear to be orange, for example. The "classic" Rubik's colors are probably not the ideal choice for this sort of puzzle. All in all though, I'm glad this product exists and love the idea!

I love solving rubiks cubes and had my eye on this one for a while. I made the mistake of only briefly admiring the cube before messing it up and trying to solve it. I very quickly realized how difficult this thing was, because I thought I was doing good at figuring out the primary color of the pieces until I was on the last face and realized I had a couple that I guessed wrong on. You need good lighting and if you're not using a cheat sheet of some sort, the best of luck to you! I can normally solve a cube in under a couple minutes. This is the first cube I've had in a while that gave me a challenge. I was literally making notes for myself on the color pieces and mapping it out while I went. The finished cube does have some pieces that almost look wrong, but they are in the correct place and the line direction is correct as well. 10/10 this was such a refreshingly fun brain teaser. It's displayed on my desk because I was proud of being able to complete it. I'm both excited and dreading having to solve this cube again. If you know someone who enjoys rubiks cubes.. This would be an awesome gift.

This is such a fun twist on the classic Rubik’s Cube! The color-changing tiles make it surprisingly difficult because the colors look different depending on the angle you’re viewing them from. Just when you think you have a side solved, you move the cube and realize you’re not quite there yet. It’s definitely a challenge, but that’s what makes it so fun. I've had to use the online diagram, but its still challenging with a cheat sheet! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something more challenging than a standard 3x3!

I bought this as a gift for my son as he loves the Rubik's cubes and has an assortment already. I wanted to get him something challenging and this fits the bill. To my knowledge, he has not solved it yet. The colors change and are so closely pigmented that it is a very extreme puzzle. If you love these cubes, and you love a challenge, or you know the pattern and can solve them all, this one will be fun! Best thing ever!

Pros: I love the color changing and that makes it nearly impossible to solve. I sometimes think I didn't even solve it. The colors are cool on display, the cube keeps it shape better than the Rubik base model. Cons: This is the cheapest feeling cube I think I have in my collection. For the price I would've expected better from Rubik. Very fake feeling, no real weight, not a smooth turner, does have a LITTLE ability to cut corners though not much. No snapping or magnets. Can't do any speed cubing on it... but with the changing colors you really can't anyway! LOL Overall, I love that I own this as part of my collection, not a favorite to play with, but it is eye catching!

After becoming obsessed with the Rubik’s cube and speed cube, we were looking for more of a challenge. This color shifting cube is A CHALLENGE! Depending on the direction of the cube and the light source, it becomes next to impossible to determine what the color of each square and side is. It is a puzzle within a puzzle to solve this cube. If you are a new cuber, this may become frustrating quickly. If you have mastered the cube and are looking for more of a challenge, the color shift is a fun choice - with patience.

The concept is super fun. I don't even solve cubes. Now you'll ask why I even bought this. the reason is simple, to spite my friend whose entire personality is solving cubes. there's not a time I don't hear that annoying fast-clicking noise cubes make, followed by him asking to shuffle it. with this cube, it takes him longer to solve, so it's a little more bearable. Though I would say, one of the squares was slightly angled, which triggered my OCD. otherwise, this is a great gift to get for those guys who keep asking to shuffle the cube every 12.5 seconds.

I an not going to mess it up but if you know some one who can solve the cube ,, this as a great gift to challenge their skill , and slow them down .

Es un cubo con buen movimiento y se ven muy bien los materiales con los q está echo, la dificultad es bastante alta, aunque si son muy susceptibles a cambios visuales va a ser muy incómodo y podría causar dolores de cabeza por el esfuerzo.

Llego en perfecto estado y el cubo es complejo, solo hay que saber adaptarse a los ángulos, pero vale la pena el reto
