Not Your Average "Watch Your Words" Type of Book- Filled With Ideas on How to Love, Encourage & Uplift With the Words We Speak
Leave it to Karen Ehman to not just write a book on watching our words, but also on how to use our words to scatter kindness, build others up, avoid conflict, love and encourage others, and so much more! This is an author with a heart of gold and a zest for living an others-centered life (as evident in her book Listen, Love, Repeat). This isn't just another ordinary book about watching our words. It's so much deeper and more meaningful than that! It's about love, unity, hope, and kindness in a world that desperately needs all of the above right now! I'm using Zip It as a Lenten devotion and taking part in Karen's #DoingLentTogether challenge on FB. It's a perfect book for that too! I find it so much more enriching to watch what comes out of my mouth for Lent rather than what goes in it! It's a perfect companion to Karen's Keep it Shut book year-round in fact, with easy-to-digest and quick, bite-size devotions that will fit into any busy schedule! HIGHLY recommended!!

A beautiful surprise!
I had no idea what I was getting into on this 40-day journey into mindful speaking but I am SO grateful that I didn't skip this chance. Every day is a quick 5-10 minute reading alone with scripture, prayer and a daily challenge. Karen does a great job providing easy to relate anecdotes and connects them with the scripture beautifully. I have already recommended this book/challenge to a friend and now, I recommend it to you!

Changed how I use my words
This book is for anyone who has conversations on a daily basis! It helped me to not only think about the words I use but always how the person who is hearing my words actually receives them. Karen take biblical principals and uses them to show us how our words impact others. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It’s one that I will read over and over again.

Learn to Use Your Words More Wisely
Karen Ehman has written a great devotional. They are short and easily read in a few minutes. But the content will challenge you to use your words more wisely and to THINK before you speak! She covers what you speak, text, and post on social media. Your words can burn or they can heal, which would you rather do? I want to learn to use my words to bring healing!I enjoy how Karen writes. She shares examples from her own life and is so honest and open.I highly recommend this book!

Karen does it again---another hit book! Highly recommended!
I love this follow-up devotional to Karen's book, Keep It Shut! Each day's devotion is short (meaning totally doable if you're a busy mama!) with applicable Bible verses, a takeaway/action item, lesson for the lips, and a prayer. The takeaways are easily remembered, like Ponder what is pure or the tongue cannot be tamed. I'll remember the way those are phrased and in turn remember to watch my words throughout the day. This book can be read separate from Keep It Shut but since I'm a huge fan of both books, I recommend both!If you're looking for a new devotional, try this 40-day challenge! You won't be disappointed!

Must read
This has been one of my favorite devotionals. Each day a Bible passage is discussed that deals with the power of the tongue, and you are given practical ways to apply it to your life. This book was convicting and inspiring. There were so many pearls of wisdom dropped throughout the chapters. I will definitely go back and read this one again.

Brilliant book!
This book is so very challenging, bringing ways we need to either not use words, or to use them wisely. In 40 easy to read sections, Karen brings down to earth examples from her life, and deeply practical scriptural references, to illustrate her points. Challenging and convicting, yet gentle and encouraging, Karen's writing is sure to stretch and strengthen your spiritual muscles. Highly recommend it, and will read it again.
