Fine quality mount, but doesn't work with anything- even the recommended Canis J-arm
I bought the Canis PVS 14 night vision mount only to find out that USGI spec J-arms don't work with it. So I ordered a J-arm that is specifically made to fit the Canis mount. Well it does lock in, but it's still wobbly. I really don't like having a $3000 night vision monocular hanging onto a wobbly piece of plastic. Oh and the thread pitch of the Canis J-arm doesn't even actually fit the threaded hole in a PVS 14. I had to take apart a USGI J-arm and mix the parts around so that I could use a USGI threaded knob with the rest of the Canis J-arm. Basically I made it work, but I now have over $100 invested into a Canis mount and J-arm and it's still wobbly and doesn't feel secure where the mount and J-arm connect to each other. For as much as these cost and given that their purpose is to support $3000-$6000 monoculars, it should all be aluminum and the fitment should be much better. Fundamentally, this doesn't work with USGI mounts but also doesn't work with Canis's own J-arm that they recommend.

Good to Go, But Secure Your NVG Anyway
Mounted this unit to a few major brand helmets, and it fit perfectly. So far has held up to the combined weight of a PVS-14, mount, and me running through the woods. Some reviews said the mount was too big for their helmets, but mine popped in without too much effort. A little tight, but I'd rather it be that way given how fragile NVGs are.ProsVERY AffordableRealisticSolidConsYour Friends Will Know You're LARPingJust as awkward as the originalOverall, this thing is good to go. I know what you're thinking and I agree. I was very surprised too.

Did not fit my PVS 7’s
Great quality, looks and feels solid. I bought mine in black and it’s nice and clean looking. Only thing is it did not fit my PVS 7’s…. To my knowledge there really aren’t that many nods out there that still use this kind of mounting style. Had to go out a buy some very small square files and file down the corners to fit my nods. Now it works great and dose exactly what I want. Just know it is a great product but might need some work!

Works well with the Canis Sports Inc j arm on Ops-Core bump helmet
I purchased this mount to hold my $300 night vision monocular onto my OpsCore non ballistic BUMP helmet. I purchased the company’s J arm, and all went together well enough. The arm mounts snuggly into the receptacle with little movement. With the use of the the helmet bungies, the monocular stays put well. I’m not trying to use this in real combat, but for the airsofter, it works….I probably wouldn’t look at this mount if I was trying to mount a $3000+ NVGS, but I wouldn’t purchase a $3000+ MVGS rig anyway. I’m using it as a toy….

Solid build 👍
Excellent quality item with solid metal construction. There's really no play and the slider slides effortlessly with the lever pushed down. There's really not much to say anything negative!

Works perfect.
I was impressed with the fit, very snug where the j arm connects and also to my Lancer helmet. Some of the reviews had me worried it would be loose fitting. Not to worry if using mil-spec pvs14 and j arm. Well made and functions perfectly. Even the fde-ish finish is well done.

Sloppy but it works
It's a little loose on a mil-spec mount but is functional. I ended up purchasing the real thing.
