Fulfilled a need
Bought the book because we needed to pass a class. Same text book that everyone else used.

Cheaper than the college bookstore
As with all textbooks this is overpriced but it’s cheaper through Amazon than the college bookstore and it gets delivered directly to me in 2 days (thank you Prime!) Paperback, well written-can be purchased used for less but since it’s paperback the condition may be compromised. Mostly happy with saving a few dollars and not having to leave the house to get it.

Not consistent and some inaccuracies
I selected this book to use with my undergraduate Marine Biology class. I selected it because initial review indicated it is written in a way that is likely accessible to second or third year biology majors. However, I am now half way through the semester and have found it to contain quite a few errors and inaccuracies as well as inconsistencies. The book says one thing and then only a few pages later there are things that contradict the original information. From an instructor perspective, those sorts of things only serve to confuse students and make them unsure what they should be learning from the book. The instructor resources are not really fantastic either. The figures are not the best for illustrating the particular concept, and there are many areas where a figure would be extremely important but is simply not there. I will search for a new text before teaching Marine Biology again.

Interesting and Convieniet to use
I had to buy this book for a University course and have found it useful for revising material and as a resource for assignments.I had an issue at the start with the book not showing up in my kindle library, then getting charged for two copies, and then it not showing up in my library a second time but once that was sorted out it works fine now.
