Good compact keyboard; room to improve
I bought the Perixx PERIBOARD-332 because I was looking to downsize from my Cherry Stream keyboard (I do not often use the number pad and found it to be a massive waste of desk space). I was torn between this and the PERIBOARD-432 (which is very similar, but not backlit), but ultimately went with this model because it had a few extra keys (Insert/Pause Break) that I use regularly that were mapped to the F1-F12 buttons; I considered the backlight a bonus. For the price, it's a nice, compact, solidly-built keyboard that lets me keep my mouse super-close to the rest of the keyboard. I love the function lock option as it makes the keyboard more versatile; if you don’t use the F1-F12 buttons, you can effectively make those buttons multimedia/extra keys. It's made of plastic so it's very light, though it does not move around while I type on it at all. I think the cord that comes with it is 5-6 feet or so, which should be long enough for the needs of most people. I’d consider it a definite candidate to be a travel keyboard it you want a wired one.The scissor switches are very nice to type on. They aren't silent, I'd say the noise they produce is about average for a scissor-switch keyboard, somewhere around the level that my Cherry Stream keyboard does. The noise level is still well within the realm of acceptability if you're using it in an office. These switches are also on the softer side, which I like (I don’t need to use as much force to push them down as I I did on my Cherry Stream). If you’re used to a laptop keyboard, you’ll feel right at home. Scissor switches in general are a HUGE improvement over the rubber dome switches one typically finds in cheaper keyboards providing a much more uniform typing experience with more feedback. If you’ll ever be using this with the backlight off, the keys are incredibly legible with it off. The keys on the keyboard are close in size to what one would find on a normal full-size keyboard, minus the smaller function key row and arrow keys. All keys except for those on the function row and bottom row are nicely contoured to the shape of your fingers and are pleasant to the touch. As for the cons, there are a few, but nothing terrible. The backlight is just OK. It’s still an asset as it does help increase legibility of the keys regardless of lighting conditions, but it doesn’t get terribly bright, particularly with the bottom row. You have the option to cycle through various brightness levels or turn the backlight off as well, but I don’t know why you’d wish to make the keys any dimmer (unless you’re turning the lighting off entirely). I’ve attached a couple of pics to this review showing the lighting on and off, both with lights on in the room and off. Because I’m close to my monitor, the large white key fonts pick up a lot of light even in low-lighting conditions, which is nice. The LEDs that power the backlight may be visible under the keys, depending on the angle you sit at (but because they’re not super-bright, they aren’t blinding). The biggest issue for me and one that really made me question making the purchase is that the tilt on the keyboard is non-adjustable. As somebody who normally uses a keyboard flat, I may end up buying a set of feet or something else to prop up the front end of the keyboard and make it flat or give it a slight negative title. Since the keyboard is so skinny to begin with, I let it slide as I can still usually keep my wrists in an OK posture. If you use a keyboard with a positive tilt anyway, you’ll likely be fine with it.If Perixx is listening, make the following changes and you’ll have created the perfect compact keyboard:1) Make the backlight a bit brighter and angle the LEDs or adjust the keycaps so that they can’t be seen under them.2) Make the tilt optional for people who would like to use their keyboard flat (if you want bonus points, make it so that a negative tilt is possible for even better ergonomics).3) Make the left/right arrow keys full-size (there’s a little wasted space as-is).

Best Backlit Wireless Keyboard on Earth & It's Compact, Lightweight & VERY Portable!
For both general usage, portability and price, this is the best wireless backlit keyboard available, that is anywhere that I've looked, including Logitech and all the other popular keyboard manufacturers, but because it holds a charge for days AND it functions with no lag just as well as any a wired keyboard I've used--this is because of its included 2.4ghz usb dongle--and it fully functions both wirelessly and while connected to its USB connected charger. My description so far is enough, I believe, for anyone wanting these features to consider this keyboard, but there are more pros ahead and only one slight con. Most current Perixx keyboards use scissor keys (the type used in nearly all laptop computers--the type I prefer), but I believe Perixx now also sells the same 732B-style keyboard with mechanical keys too, and the keyboard has no noticeable lag within several feet of its receiver, but at greater distances (i.e., for use on a couch over 10 feet away) it's still very low-lag and still excellent! Here’s the one possible slight “con” when using this keyboard on your lap: you might want a wrist-rest. When using a any wireless keyboard on your lap an wrist-rest attached to the keyboard raises the keyboard’s keys up a few inches above your lap so your hands have extra space to reach for the keys. This is helpful if you’re a fast typist, but for on-your-lap usage most people aren’t using a keyboard to type much at all and so this keyboard is still fairly easy to use on your lap without a wrist-rest.Here’s what I made (see photo) for less than $1 to add a wrist-rest to the 732B--because sometimes I'll type for hours with this keyboard on my lap. I duck-taped a small rectangle of fiberboard to the back of the keyboard and attached a couple of plastic glass retaining clips to it—if you use strong duct-tape to attach the board to the back of the keyboard it will hold for years and also still be fairly easy to remove if so desired.I type a LOT and so I was a decades-long consumer of Logitech keyboards because of their quality & design, but for every reason I know of Perixx tops them and so Perixx has stolen me as a customer. For example, this Perixx 732B is smaller, much lighter, uses the same type of scissor-keys as Logitech and so is basically as just as durable, has the same adjustable backlighting and more, and that’s at 1/3rd the price.I almost forgot: the key caps on the 732B are sculpted too (very comfortable & improves accuracy) ...I've never actually loved a keyboard before, but this one comes close! I’m buying a second one.

IF you do not need a DELETE key it is a great compact keyboard
It is backlit, lightweight and takes up a lot less space on your desk. The only way to delete something you typed is to go beyond the error and use the backup key over the item. Have gotten very used to doing that so it works for us....we have ordered several.

I like this keyboard!
I like the feel of the keys. Touch-typing is easy. Nice travel distance, key size, and feedback when pressed.Good: backlighting. There are four lit settings, and 'off'There's plenty of cable to reach between my mac and where I type. There's a slight lift so that they keyboard doesn't lay completely flat on a table. It also has four non-skid bumpers for when you work on a smooth surface such as glass.Don't like: The brightness keys don't work for my external monitor screen. The Mac Mini doesn't have a built-in monitor. The volume keys don't work for the external monitor's speaker, either.Like: The mute and volume keys do actually work fora) the Mac Mini builtin speakersb) whatever is plugged into the Mini's 3.5m headphone jack andc) Bluetooth speakersI'm using a mac Mini running MacOS 14.5 Sonoma.Like: Spotlight and toggle Desktop buttons work.

Great keyboard for a home office
This works great for a home office set-up. I like the size and backlit keys, and it feels very quality in terms of typing experience.

I like it
This keyboard is a pretty close match the ASUS Zenbook (UX32VD) keyboard layout. The letter "s" on my laptop keyboard has started to periodically not work, despite removing it and cleaning the dust.I was a little nervous that the front of the box showed a German keyboard layout, but it is indeed the USA layout as indicated by the "US" sticker on the back.Pros:-6ft long USB cable (if you need it).-The keys are quiet'ish, but not super quiet. They do make a click sound. The Zenbook keys are super quiet, no click sound.-The "Fn" key is blue, and so are all the related function keys. The color coding is a nice addition not shown in the stock photos.-Price.-No batteries needed.-Plug and play confirmed (on Win8).-Arrow key layout is good.-The key travel distance is pretty short. The Zenbook feels a bit shorter, maybe 10%.-Light weight (347 grams) and compact. Could easily travel with it.-The function lights are a nice green color, not too bright.-No backlighting. Perixx has a backlit model, but personally I dislike backlighting.Cons:-Wish the "Prt Scr" was its own key. The function keys on the Zenbook are about 14mm wide each. Perixx are 17mm wide each. Over 14 keys, it wastes 42mm, which could fit an extra 3 keys. Even if Perixx went with 16mm wide function keys, then it would be enough to fit one more key.-Instead of the "Alt Gr" key, I wish the "Gr" was a separate context menu key (a key to bring up the right-click menu).-The font used for the round brackets on keys 9 and 0 don't look very round.-The "@" on the 2 key looks weird.
