Victorinox Classic SD Precious Alox Swiss Army Knife, 5 Function, Rose

This tiny key-chain knife hits far above its tiny size. It has 1 very sharp blade, a nail file and a 2.5mm flathead screwdriver, and the famous Victoronix scissors. This is for light duties only but it can be pushed a bit beyond that due to its rugged (for its size) construction. This Precious Alox version is simply beautiful. It is so beautiful that I decided that I am not going to put it on my key-chain where the anodizing will wear off. This little guy will sit on my desk and be used to open packages and for light cutting duties. I ended up ordering another Classic SD Alox in red (probably for my beside) and an Alox Mini Champ for my key-chain.

The packaging is quite nice. The hazel brown with the herrringbone pattern aluminum scales is subtly eye catching. The fit and finish is superb. A few drops of gun oil in the right places, working it in and this knife opens and closes very smooth with a positive feel. The edge on the blade is very sharp out of the box. The scissors are smooth and sharp. The form factor is so slim and light you don't even know it's there. You can't go wrong with these super handy little EDC pocket knives.

This is a Christmas gift to replace an older one that my husband carries every day. It is nicely packaged, very attractive and appears to be excellent quality.

Size is small but does get some minor tasks done. I wouldn’t use it as an everyday, but as a backup like a keychain or necklace pendant. Will definitely come in handy when you don't have a primary knife/multitool. But the are really beautifully made. And very convenient to carry around without anyone noticing.

It’s hard to believe how lightweight this knife is. Even in a pair of running shorts you won’t know it’s there, and yet the quality in the blade and tools is truly special. Typical Victorinox. No play in the blade, the most precise scissors anywhere, and tough as nails. I love this “precious” gold finish, with the woven effect, but any of the Alox Classic models are beyond cool. I carry a bigger Victorinox knife in my other pocket, and this one comes along mostly for the (extremely good) nail file, but it works a treat on its own, too.

I really like this knife. The colour is wonderful in person. Perfect to fit on a keychain without adding too much bulk.
