Excellent 👌 easy install
Product works great very well built kit best kit I have installed hands down Soldering optional * Only have to solder if you would like to remap touchpad or L3 and R3 I chose not to do these options I have no need for remapping them and total install was about 7 screws and 15-20 minutes taking the extra time to carefully disassemble the controller Mapping is very easy and can be done in seconds full mapping of buttons and triggers just by holding buttons at the same time This is a very good deal and I will be buying more in the future The color is very very close and I am satisfied with the match even on the purple color Only downside is it does not sit on the razor charging stand *** this is subjective

Improved my times in GT7
Easy to install. I skipped the touchpad mod but did L3 R3. Works great. In GT7 you can set up to manage the MFD, or manual shift and nitro for drag racing. Lots of flexibility. Wish it had a multi position slide switch for different load-outs. I was worried it would compromise grip or be too easy to hit the new buttons but once you get used to it it’s fine. NOTE: this is NOT compatible with Sony charge station unmodified. I was able to successfully modify the forward charge slot to work. You cannot modify the rear slot because the charging PCB is located just behind it under the PS logo. You can do this mod WITHOUT disassembling charge station, but I didn't know that when I started. Here is the procedure: Remove the soft liner from the forward slot by easily prying back the four corner clips and then pull it straight out. Set the controller against back of the slot and mark how far button pack extends over the carrier. Mark the sides following the same angle as the current slot (see second photo). Because I disassembled I ended up cutting too far down, below the level of the white sides and more than needed to clear the button pack (see first photo). So just go down a little above the white sides. Only remove the material as marked. Do not remove any more as there is a brace to hold the spring just below this. Cut off the back part of the soft liner and reinstall to cover the front of the slot. Done!

Too sensitive; programming isn’t clear; otherwise good
I bought this primarily because I was sick of having to take my thumb off of the right stick to dodge in Bloodborne. It was easy enough to install going by the manufacturer’s YouTube channel, which they provide a link to in the box. Thing is, the buttons and paddles are far too sensitive. It barely takes any pressure to click them, and there’s no good place to rest your middle and ring fingers when it’s installed. What I ended up doing is taking off the back buttons (the ones next to the programming button) and sticking some paper from a watch instruction manual in their place to protect the circuit board. Then, I literally cut up a plastic straw from I think Wendy’s and taped some pieces under the paddles. An imperfect and likely temporary solution, but I can at least rest my fingers where the buttons were (and the switches are still there to press so no functionality is lost) and I’m not constantly activating the paddles. As far as I can tell, there were no instructions in the box or on the YouTube channel for how to program buttons. To do this, hold the middle button (the program button) for a few seconds until the red light on the back turns on. Hold the rear button and the button you want to assign until the light flashes. Then, press the program button again. Easy enough, but not intuitive with no directions imo. Since the remapping is done on a hardware level inside of the controller, the buttons will still be assigned even if you use the controller on PC or anywhere else. Otherwise it’s very good. It’s a little cumbersome to remap buttons since it’s not like there’s a way to set up profiles or anything, so you need to remap every time you switch games. It also adds some heft to the controller. This is not so good imo because I like to use the DS5 on PC with the gyroscope on for shooters, and the extra weight makes holding the controller off of my lap and twisting it around and stuff less comfortable, but it’s livable. Overall it’s a good product, but I think at the very least you’ll have to use some kind of spacer for the paddles and figure out a new way to rest your fingers on the back unless you take out the buttons like I did. Just use chopsticks to eat your gamer doritos so you don’t gunk up the paper.

Beginner pro
The one I ordered got stolen off my porch since then I bought one on eBay and it’s an awesome product as long as you got to know how not too hard to install. If you don’t have a soldering iron or ability to solder, you won’t get to remap the L3, R3 or the pad button which are not exactly necessary I mean, why would you remap the button for a map or a melee in most games?

Competitive Edge, Value for money
Purchased on 2/28/26. Im the guy that installs hall effect joysticks on your controller. There are a lot of ribbons and connectors that you can install loosely or incorrectly. Take your time. This kit is working properly and I was able to program the buttons accordingly. I will update this review if anything changes.

Best pro upgrade!
Turned my regular DualSense into the ultimate pro controller for $40 — insane value! If you’ve ever looked at a Scuf, Victrix, or Razer “pro” PS5 controller and thought “$200–$300 just to get back buttons??”… stop right there. This eXtremeRate RISE4 kit is the answer. You keep 100 % of the original DualSense magic — adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, built-in mic, speaker, everything — and you just gain four excellent back paddles. No compromises. Installation: Yeah, you have to open the controller (25–40 minutes if you take your time). Watch the official YouTube video once or twice and you’ll be fine. It’s not hard, just requires a little patience and a steady hand. Tools are included, and everything snaps together nicely. No soldering needed for the paddles to work perfectly (only if you want to map L3/R3 later). Pros: Four perfectly placed, clicky back buttons Keeps ALL DualSense features intact (unlike literally every $250 pro controller) Rubberized grips feel way better than stock Costs less than a night out instead of a car payment Cons: The replacement back shell plastic feels a bit cheaper than OEM (still totally solid, just not quite Sony-level premium) Double-check your controller model (BDM-010/020 vs newer ones) or you’ll order the wrong kit I’ve installed five of these now — one on my main controller and the rest for friends — and every single person is blown away. For forty bucks you get something that plays better than any official “elite” controller on the market. Absolute no-brainer. Just buy it, thank me later.

Thumbs UP?
PROS: * Clicky responsive buttons. Nice feedback. Very impressive. * Nice aesthetics. Looks quality. * Assembly not too involved if you dont have two left hands (or right if you're lefty) CONS: * Plastic not as good as OEM. Noticed a crack on tabs and some falling off after assembly and reassembly. Main problem with back buttons is that the plastic seems to wear down or get bent out of shape just enough that it doesnt make enough solid contact with the pcb trigger. This is a huge issue bc it results in missed inputs and the trigger no longer “clicks”. I had to return mine and get a new one after about 3 weeks. * Somewhat cramped. I have average to above average size hands and I keep accidentally pressing the middle buttons. Itll take getting used to since Ive used the razer xbox, razer ps4, ps4 backbutton attachments and xbox elite. The others have a more comfortable layout for me. Still great. Just happy they have something for PS5 Ultimately though the biggest problem is the cheap plastic that they use. Otherwise design is fine. I just hope that they can address this issue in future revisions. I see that they will be making a real metal button option which would address the main issue I have. Still highly recommend it Since there really isn’t any other alternative. Itd get 4 to 5 stars if it wasnt for the cheap plastic.

Cheap and professional alternative to pro-controllers
I was hesitant at first, because I was scared of breaking my controller but it works like a charm; the back-paddles are easy to install if you follow the YouTube instructions well. Just turned my controller into a custom 'pro' controller with a limited budget. The quality of the buttons is good and there's no lag between input and response. I do need to get used to the new button remaps, but that's expected.

Bad communication
No communication whatsoever from seller regarding the returned item. The circuits delivered didn’t fit my controller hence I returned it. No refund nor return of the commodity.
