My first stand mixer came with the pouring shield but it did not have the secure fit feature. I sold that entire unit and my new mixer did not come with the shield so I had to buy it. This one is way better because it stays put. Can’t wait to try it out.

This pouring shield does exactly what I wanted it to do — help keep ingredients from flying everywhere while mixing. It helped reduce the mess and made adding ingredients a little easier. The appearance matched the pictures, and the quality feels good overall. I also think it’s a good value for the money, especially if you use your mixer regularly. My only minor issue was the fit. I have a KitchenAid mixer with a bowl that has a handle, so the shield fit a little more snugly than I expected and took some adjusting to get into place. That said, once I got it on, it still did the job well. Overall, a useful accessory for KitchenAid owners, especially if you’re tired of flour and other ingredients all over the counter.
