Packaging and consistency is terrible
More like a paste than a butter consistency. Comes packaged in a thin bag that's knotted by hand and is absolutely impossible to get out of the bag and into any bowl. The consistency is like toothpaste, making it difficult to scoop with a spoon, whip it to make it airy, or even use a spatula to get it into my jars. It gets everywhere, so be prepared to have it all over your work area. Ultimately ended up using the whole bag to avoid having to put it away and risk losing more of the product. Gave it 1 star because once I did finally get it to the right end product after adding my own ingredients, it did at least foam and clean okay and didnt have a scent to it. Will not be purchasing this again though.

Good for sugar scrubs but not what I intended it for
It make an awesome whipped sugar scrub but I was hoping it was a thicker and more formed product like the Stepehensons whipped soap base. I also noticed that after it’s been whipped, it collapses very easily the next day of using without other additives. Overall, it still makes awesome scrubs!

Not a fan at alm
There is nothing special about this soap base. The texture is gooey and difficult to handle out of the bag in came in. I transferred it to a different container to try to work with it, but there was a lot of product waste due to its consistency. I used it to make whipped soap and it did whipped well but there is barely any bubbles in this product. My recipe does have castor oil and still the bubbles were minimal. I will use the final product for personal use and not for sale as intended. I do have a soap business and I will NOT sell this to my clients. I really wanted this to work, but unfortunately I will not purchase it again.

Doesn't weight 2lbs as listed
I like the foaming lathering part before mixing with ingredients for making body soap for gifts, when it was weighed though it was not 2lbs even with the bag that it came in and I made sure to scrape everything out and made it way off even more in weight. For the cost and the actual weight was dissatisfied. As for after mixing ingredients the foaming lather part ends up not as good.
