Big block - great value.
Some reviews seem to indicate gnats. I’ve purchased this twice and one shipment may have had bugs - they appeared out of nowhere. I can’t say it came from the coir. What I can say for sure is that this is a great price and you get a lot for your money. I mix s soilless growing medium with coconut coir, compost, and vermiculite.

Great for composting toilets
We use this for our composting toilet - it's a great size. Individually shrink wrapped. Arrived timely, packaged fine, I think it's a good quantity for the price. Repeat purchase for us.

Fills one 5 gallon pot. The end
It did the job. I treated it before hand and it’s just coco. I wish I had ordered a larger block

The coconut coir is perfect bedding for my composting worms. It keeps moisture in but still drains well

listing is a fraud, it's only 600g, 50g short!
I weighed the brick, including the plastic wrapping, on an OHaus scale, and it came up exactly 600g.That's a whopping 50g less than claimed.Otherwise, the coir is of OK, not amazing quality.. it has a large amount of long coconut fibers embedded in it,unlike coir I've bought elsewhere, which had all of the fibers ground down to powder

Use in our composting toilet!
We use these coir bricks to make the material that goes into our composting toilet. Since we need 2/3 of a brick to fill our composting toilet, I cute hm into 2/3's and re-package them to store them on our sailboat. (They are tough to cut with a saber saw!). I have revised my rating on this product for two reasons: the bricks were not a full 650 grams, and (2) they don’t work as well as Nature’s Footprint bricks.
