This item is a real "find." It makes many fish-based meals more "hearty." For example we add it clam sauce for pasta ... you just need to find a "sweet spot" erring on the low side at first, so the flavor doesn't overwhelm. Even commercial clam chowders where you see pieces of clam but not much clam flavor benefit. I won't take a star away on one issue, since it is not the product's fault. We received two jars in a cushioned bag (no box) and when we opened it, one jar was badly broken and the contents spilled. We put in to amazon for a refund or replacement. They said yes, but they they would only issue the discount if we dropped it to a Whole Foods. My wife and I are elderly and don't want a difficult drive to the nearest store, plus the loss of time and gas, just to get a refund for a $10 item that should have been delivered intact in the first place. So kept the unbroken jar, threw out the broken one and "ate" the loss. They could have given us alternative ways to get the credit, but chose to offer ONLY the most difficult one for us.

I just love this seasoning. The chicken, beef, lobster, chili and turkey are just great. You don’t need a lot and makes whatever dish you’re cooking very flavorful.

This lobster base is absolutely amazing! The flavor is rich, authentic, and really enhances any dish I add it to. A little goes a long way, so the jar lasts longer than expected. It’s perfect for soups, sauces, and seafood dishes, giving everything a deep, restaurant-quality taste. Super convenient and easy to use—definitely a staple in my kitchen now. Highly recommend!

I was raised on "seafood" mom being from New England. I have to eat 5-8 times a day or I get sick, after being ill from Covid. I add what I'll say is a one-side only of a fork dipped into this then added to my clam sauce, it was delicious, I did not add salt since I'm aware of how salty these BTB tend to be, I use caution. I add garlic paste, red chili flakes, and a bit of black pepper. I use a can of my favorite sauce and sometimes a tray of baby clams, added to sauce. It is so damn good, it should be a crime, lol ~ ///=^} ~

Like all the BTB products, this definitely produces a strong flavor profile. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the lobster base is VERY, VERY SALTY! Used a roux with milk and heavy cream produced a nice lobster bisque, but use the base sparingly, a little at a time as it is, again, very salty. I will also use unsalted butter in the roux next time.

Gotta have this for any seafood dish

I keep this stocked in my kitchen at all times. It takes every seafood or Cajun recipe to the next level. I use it in gumbo, shrimp and grits, seafood pasta, and even just to punch up a quick pot of rice or grits. The flavor is rich, bold, and makes it taste like you cooked all day, even when you didn’t. We always have extra jars on hand because once you use it, you can’t go without it. It’s perfect for making restaurant-quality seafood dishes at home, and it saves me so much time and money. The lobster flavor is clean, not fake or fishy, and a little goes a long way. If you love Southern, coastal, or Cajun cooking, this belongs in your pantry.

I use this in my shrimp in lobster sauce recipe. I also put a dab in the water for cooking the rice to go with it.
