This is the best lotion I've ever used in my life! Everything about it is perfect, including the natural, nourishing ingredients that were used to create this skin softening lotion. It smells gently of aloe vera, which is the top ingredient that was used. Aloe vera is well known for its ability to heal and soothe skin, and people say that it's the secret behind Cleopatra's beautiful skin.This lotion feels very slick and lightweight, without any greasiness, stickiness, or heaviness. It just seems to instantly float across and sink into thirsty skin, and there isn't much of a waiting period at all. For such a lightweight lotion, it's extremely effective in moisturizing and softening dry skin. My skin is in rough shape. I have very dry, eczema prone skin with patches that tend to break out with occasional acne, scar tissue formation, and rough calluses on elbows and feet. And I got so tired of using multiple skin care products that either barely helped or were way too expensive ($60 face creams, anyone?). So I researched different ingredients, tried out some raw shea butter and coconut oil to see how my skin would react to them, and put quite a few hours into searching for just the right product to meet my needs. This lotion isn't a miracle cream, but with its affordability, pure ingredients, effective moisturizing, and all-over versatility it's pretty close.I purchased the unscented version and it truly is without any scent, good or bad. It comes out thin like a lotion, which made me nervous at first, but goes on silky smooth like the thickest creams, yet without any sort of greasy residue. I've been using it all over (face and body) to the exclusion of any other moisturizing products, just to see what it could do - and I've gone from 6 containers on my countertop to just one, which is pretty amazing. No more dual face creams, body-only lotion, extra moisturizing treatment, cuticle cream, and callus cream! It's gentle enough for sensitive areas like around the eyes, yet effective enough for tough areas like elbows and feet. It hasn't completely reduced my calluses, but it's certainly stopped them from getting worse. My cuticles and skin tone have improved, my acne has almost disappeared, and red eczema-prone patches have evened out. I live in a cold, dry, wintry climate . . . so that's saying something! I love that it's made of the purest and most natural ingredients, and have enjoyed learning more about the benefits of soapberries. I will definitely be buying more of this in the future!

This is a very nice lotion. I honestly did not realize this was an 8.5 oz bottle - I didn't really read the description very well. That is why I only gave 4 stars. However, the lotion itself is great. Packaging is recyclable. They include a little soap berry in there with an informational card which is pretty cool. The lotion has pretty clean ingredients and a nice fresh scent. I am not sure if that is the aloe or soap berry that I can smell but it smells good! Note- there is a scent with the unscented but that is due to the ingredients and not added fragrance. The smell does dissipate quickly for those who really can't stand any scents for very long. The lotion is not greasy and absorbs very quickly. It locks in moisture much longer than my previous Alaffia Unscented Lotion. I have incredibly dry skin and this dry, cold, fall/winter air makes it so much worse it is ridiculous. Usually I can apply that lotion (or any previous lotion I had) and within an hour to two hours I would have flaking and dryness in those areas. On my first day of using this lotion, I applied at 4 pm on my arms and by the time I woke up the next morning my arms were flake-free. That is saying a lot!! Like I said previously, I did not realize this was only 8.5 oz and for the price I feel like it is way more expensive than what is worth it since this is a body lotion and not a facial moisturizer. The bottle is just too small for how often I would be using the product. It does lock in moisture better than other lotions, but I would still use this twice a day and maybe more often just on my hands or on patches on my face throughout the day. The 8.5 oz bottle would be great for a bathroom for a hand lotion or something but as a full on body lotion, I think the bottle should be bigger.

This lotion is very nice! It feels creamy when you put it on but doesn't get sticky feeling after applying. I especially like that there is no scent since my eyes are sensitive to strong smells!! This is a great lotion and makes my skin feel soft!
