Quality prodcut through and through.
I use this to make cowboy coffee everyday and I love it. The things I like: The handle seems to be solidly attached. It is well crafted. The edge of the handle has a nice bevel all the way around so it doesn't feel like it's cutting into my fingers. The handle has a nice curve to it that makes it's small size easy to hold. It cleans up really easily and quickly. I have big hands and at first I was afraid I was going to end up cutting myself while cleaning the inside but that has yet to happen. Just like the handle it has a nice beveled edge to it. Things I don't like: The pour spout is for right handed people and I'm left handed. (It still gets 5 stars though) Things I've changed my mind on: At first I wanted it to be about 50% bigger but over time I've grown to like the size. My impression is it will hold up well, which is a good things as i tend to be pretty tough on my things. Like I said in the first sentence, I use it everyday to make coffee and I'm very glad for this purchase. At one point or another I've probably owned close to every kind of coffee maker there is out their and this is now my go to method. (Unless I'm in a hurry and then I use my Aero Press.) Tips I've learned for making cowboy coffee to keep it from boiling over: Sometimes i use 1 scoop of coffee and sometimes I use 2 scoops. I add water up to about 3/4 of an inch from the top. Set the flame on low. Usually I put it on very low. When I don't I still turn it down to very low as it starts to bubble around the edges. Lift the pot off the burner just before it bubbles over the top and as the bubbles recede put back on the very low flame. Continue doing this until the coffee grounds and sink to the bottom and it will no longer bubble over. Leave it on for 2 more minutes. Pour through an Aeropress.

Reasonable quality
Nice heavy bottom, use on lower heat levels, nice handle. Like that there is metric measurements visible on the inside of the pot, why no imperial measurements as well.

100% worth buying
BUY IT! First, I am not married to the average Egyptian man. Or maybe I am?!?! He doesnt want just a tiny cup of coffee when he leaves for work....noooo.....he wants a large cup! So i can't use the normal canaka to make his coffee when he is leaving for work unless I am going to make it 3 times! Haha. And even then I have to worry about it boiling over. To accurately show the size, I posted against a soda can. This canaka is a game changer. I am using this for the Arabic coffee we bring from Egypt, for his halba (fenugreek) and we have even made shay nanna (mint tea) in this because I truly dislike him making it it in my regular tea pot since it gets stuck in the nose of the pot. My husband also made hot chocolate in it! It washes up very nicely. Even with milk! He has a bad habit of heating things a little too high so the milk scales a bit...in my opinion...but it scrubbed up so easily. I can easily fit my entire hand into the pot to scrub it unlike the small canaka we have. The handle is firmly welded as well unlike the copper and some smaller stainless steel canakas I have used in the past. It does get a little warm if left close to the burner so it's good to use a mitt when grasping but that's true with all metal cookware. While in Egypt, I couldn't locate any stainless steel canakas. Aluminum is more commonly used there. I am very seriously considering purchasing a second one to carry with us to leave in our home there. I really love this one and feel like it was worth the cost. This is an item that feels like we will have for at least the next 15-20 years. It is that sturdy.

Great multi purpose device, perfect for in our camper as I can use it as a measuring jug, milk frothing jug as well as a small saucepan. Much heavier than I'd imagined, it has a good solid base and feels really well made and solid. Can't wait for our next trip so I can have a decent latte (I froth the milk with a battery widget then heat the milk)
