I am curious to know if you can write on these bookmarks? I am looking for an alternative to sticky notes for marking pages for a quick ref.

Yes you can write on them. I used a Biro. There is a tiny design flaw with these bookmarks. Because both sides are the same colour, when you return to your book you are not sure which page to begin reading again. I simply wrote an arrow on one side of the bookmark, so that this shows me I am looking at the correct page. Hope that answers.
