Civil PE Practice Exam: CBT Breadth

I would say this exam is slightly easier than the actual PE in my experience, but it is still great practice for its price. I would recommend getting Volume B for harder problems that are more representative of the actual exams difficulty.

Not sure if the exam will have the same level of difficulty, but this is helpful to start and practice your time. I read that the part B is harder, so I’ll study more and will practice with the part B.Is there a version for the Construction depth? That would be great.Good luck everyone!

Great practice. Someone commented that the equation for number 28 is not in the handbook, it is. All of these can be done with the handbook. Some the questions have tricky units (good practice) and pointed me to places in the handbook I hadn’t really paid attention to. I definitely recommend it. The last quadratic equation, I don’t get their answer though (#39)

Currently on problem 15. I noticed problem 14 has a solution error, it is missing Nq, therefore solution is incorrect. Also problem 13, I’ve seen similar problems and approached differently, therefore solution may vary. Will update rating when I’m done.

The practice exam was good but it’s expensive for just one practice exam.

I decided to pick this book up because I was light on breadth practice problems and already went thru the NCEES available practice exam. Overall, this was a solid collection of breadth problems that helped simulate the concepts on the exam and covers a little bit of everything. Also, the solutions highlight important elements you need to understand for the problem. I’m glad I picked this up to aid in my studying.

Quality practice problems with good explantions. Conceptual questions are very essential. I got 34/40, and I learned new things.
