Purina Pro PlanSport Development 30/20 Chicken and Rice Formula High Protein Dog Food for Puppies - 4 lb. Bag

I accidentally purchased this product for my puppy, a lab/ pit mix. I was looking for a high protein, development and sport formula to help him with growth, keep up with his activity and focus while obedience training. I thought he would have allergies, skin issues and digestive issues. It’s been an ongoing quest to find the right food. It looks like I’m sticking with this product because I’m amazed at the progress he’s made during obedience training in just a month. Not saying the work we’re doing in training isn’t relevant, it is. I think the food helps his focus, development for size, strength and cognitive improvement. He also has no adverse reaction to the food, no allergies, skin issues or digestive problems.

My puppy loves this

My puppy does not like it. He did not eat the other bag. I believed I stopped my subscription before the delivery date but it still came. I would like to return and get a credit or a refund please.

Our old lady Katrina (almost 12 1/2 yrs.) is starting to get picky about her dinner. Turns up her nose, especially at any dry Kibble presented to her. I usually mix some dry with the wet food. Thought I'd give this new 4 lb. bag of Purina Pro Plan Puppy food - dry triangular-shaped kibble bits a chance, hoping the flavor would attract her taste buds. Well, this Chicken and Rice Formula seems to be working, she's actually eating it!!! This food made especially for puppies has that extra nutrition and protein added for strength and endurance, for their bones and good healthy growth, so why not for the old gal? She's not very athletic anymore, but still has some zip in her step! We're pleased that she's liking this new food, and the crunchiness is good for her teeth.

I am currently using Nutro for large-breed puppies, but my dog really has shown an amazing interest in this brand. I have only been able to try a little so as not to upset his digestion, but so far, he has really responded well to it. I like the ingredients and am open to trying a little grain in his diet after doing some research and seeing others' experiences with this brand.I will update this review if anything changes, but so far I am sold with a very happy 5-month-old pooch. I plan to order a larger bag of the large-breed puppy formula next.

I have an older dog that recently lost some weight after a medical illness and has struggled to get back to her healthy weight so although not a puppy this food seemed to be able to help so I gave it a shot. The bag isn't big but it did work for what I needed and did help my underweight dog reach a much healthier weight which I appreciate. I can't speak personally to the flavor but my dog that has had a pretty poor appetite seemed to enjoy it and always finished her bowel so it seems to have a good taste. Overall this dog food does exactly what it promised and helped our dog reach a healthy weight so in pleased with the product.
