Do the pegs fit in the holes easily and stay secure?

Yes the pegs stay in the holes. You can't turn the board upside down, they will fall out. But playing the game they are secure in place.

The description states "Each set measures 1p1” in diameter." Does this mean 1' 1"?

This game board measures 11" diameter. Very well made.

Can you use marbles if you want to? will they fit?

They are wooden pegs, not spheres--just placed marbles on the peg holes and they seem to stay in place.
