Masterminds: Payback (Masterminds, 3) Hardcover – March 7, 2017

The books were an easy read for the age group intended. Kind of reminded me of The Goonies! It was a fun read.

I love the premise, the ending, the middle... i couldn't be happier to have found this series! At first, I thought it was kind of like a younger version of the "Divergent" series (which I liked) but the whole "Stepford Wives" community threw me for a loop. It just goes to show that in today's day and age, a potential Eutopia could actually be a Dystopia. But I love the idea that a Dystopia can be overcome, and truth can prevail!

Loved this book! Last in a series of 3. Page turner! Would love to see another sequel to this of the main characters as they’re grown up to college age and maybe even raising their own kids. Story about Friendship, forgiveness & Never give up attitude.

This is a great book for elementary classrooms! Higher readers in 4th grade through 6th is the perfect age.

The book came home from my daughters 5th grade library at the end of the year. I thought it would be a great book for my granddaughter. So I picked it up and read a couple pages of book one, I couldn’t wait to buy book 2 to finish the adventure. This is just a fun story for people of all ages

Spoiler alert. There was a great thing going with running from the police and the researchers, the morality questions and the nature vs nurture intrigue. In the end, though, the book failed to comment on the nature vs nurture question. All the characters ended up being the nearly same as their genetic samples, except they were cast in a heroic light.I had hoped to see the main character be the offspring of a serial killer as eluded to, to show how the serial killer became what he was and the fact that the kid couldn't be that. Sadly, the kid ended up breaking the rules and hacking into things, and breaking laws for just causes, exactly like the person he was cloned after. And you could say this is a comment in itself, but all similar examples are so weak that they barely register into a lesson or clear idea. The conclusion seems to be, "Well, it could be nature or it could be nurture, or maybe both. Who knows?" It's not a huge deal, it was just personally disappointing.

This book is amazing! Another one of Gordon Korman's masterpieces! I read this book every day, for hours on end! If you buy this book, you will definitely be satisfied! That's why I give this book five stars! Read this book! (Reviewed by an 11 year old)

If you are looking a series to read, Masterminds is a great pick for all ages.As always Gordon Korman manages to pull the narrative together with a whole pile of twist and turns.My kids insisted on reading it pretty much start to finish.The whole series was enjoyable for the whole family.

An excellent book with lots of unexpected twists and turns and I couldn’t put it down. Five stars for sure!

I have always enjoyed Gordon Korman's Books. the for past 30 years I have read his books for the humour, but this series is a great adventure. Well done. i will be sharing them with my kids.

I read books 1 and 2 to my class of grade 5/6 students. They anxiously waited for book 3 to arrive. Upon our return to school after a two week break, the kids couldn't wait to start reading it.
