The flavor just isn't there
Advertised as having hints of "spice, smoke, wood" this non-alcoholic spirit in actuality tastes like minty liquid wax... Do you know those fake wax teeth you used to get around Halloween years ago? (i don't know if they are still a thing). But imagine the saliva build up you used to get when biting into them when trying to keep them in your mouth. Add a little winter fresh to that, and drink it down, because that what Earthen essentially is. Obviously it is not supposed to be had straight, but even when mixed with ginger ale/beer, with bitters and simple syrup, the flavor is still there. Do not recommend

These are fantastic! Totally satisfying!
I purchased bottles of Wilderton Lustre and Earthen during Dry January and will be ordering more after my month of sobriety is over. These are great in cocktails and totally satisfying. I would make a cocktail before dinner each night. After reading some of the reviews, I almost did not place an order. However, I’m glad I did. These are delicious. I suspect the people writing the reviews did not know how to use the product. I followed a few of the recipes provided and they cocktails were are A1 Steak Sauce good. The Earthen with Ginger Beer was great. I also enjoyed it with Tonic. Lustre with some citrus juice and simple syrup is fantastic. I’d like to try these with bitters once Dry Jan is over.

Expensive tea
I'm an Islay fan and came looking for something to fill that niche. This ain't it.The nose is reminiscent of a hallway decent cologne. Not something I'd wear, but I wouldn't look at someone weird if they smelled like they'd applied this. Kind of like bay rum, but not as sweet on the nose. Disappointing lack of smoke, but overall not unpleasant, if not really a scent that says "drink me."Sipping it was a disappointment. In the mouth everything is buried under a sour note, not really tannic but enough to largely drown out any real complexity. Sipping on the tailings with the melted ice I'm able to find some of the notes from nosing it, but it's still pretty overwhelmed. On the whole, though, this strikes me as a rather extravagantly expensive bottle of herbal tea, and there are just better alternatives to be had for significantly less.

Smells and tastes like perfume
I really want to like this but when first opening the bottle and smell it… smells like I’m about to drink perfume. It smells incredible but like a candle that you are afraid to ingest. I tried it neat and I can’t really tell if I like it or not. I’ll need to try mixing it. Was hoping it would be great in something like an old fashioned but it may need more of a mixer. I like that it’s not sweet like a fruit juice but there is an after taste that lingers… maybe I’ll update my review once I find a good recipe for it. The packaging is lovely though!

Don't expect gin taste, but nicely herbaceous.
In my quest to refrain from alcohol I have been trying different substitutes and mocktails. What I have discovered is that one should not expect them to taste like the real thing. However, there are botanicals that mimic the heat, and this one does it nicely. This is good as a mocktail mix. I had it over frozen berries with some soda water and a few drops of monk sweetener. Also made a fine non-gin tonic. I'm learning it is about the ritual of the drink, not the alcohol. A nice glass, and fresh ingredients like fruit, limes, lemons, herbs. It feels good to stay clean and sober.

Green Tea Listerine
Unfortunately, whatever flavor profile they were looking to create just didn't work.Almost undrinkable even when mixed with ginger ale and a lime. We really wanted it to be good and tried to enjoy it but alas, it was horrible.

Good Compliment to Non-Alcohol Concoctions
It takes and smells good. I've used it with homemade Lavender Lemonade made from home made lavender simple syrup and fresh squeezed lemons. There are a lot of recipes to explore if you are looking for a mocktail.

Horrible taste
I was very excited to receive this item. High quality packaging, arrived quickly. Quite possibly the worst thing I have ever tasted. I dumped it immediately. Everyone's taste is different but this was far too floral and earthy for me to enjoy it.
