Broke immediately
Edited: I changed my 1 star review to a 5 star review! The customer service was wonderful. They contacted me and gave me my money back after my review. They didn't even ask me to change my review, but they deserve to get the acknowledgement that they have great customer service. I would definitely order again knowing they care about their customers.I’m so disappointed and so is my son. We got him this for his birthday and it broke before he could even get it on his bike. It’s so cute, but worthless since it doesn’t squeak and is falling apart.

So cute a tweaker stole him
Mr. Patterson was kidnapped about a week ago. The perpetrators of this heinous crime have not expressed any conditions for his return nor have left any method of contact for exchange. They appear to be very bad at kidnapping. I can only hope that his sweet hamster-song squeak will encourage them to re-evaluate their life choices. To Mr. Patterson's parents: First off, I'm sorry to inform you this way. It must be horrible to hear about your children through an Amazon review. My bad. Second, stop forcing your children to ingest LED lights. They are not effective at illuminating nor signaling to other people/cars that an adorable hamster is there and most importantly; stifles that glorious squeak. Also, maybe a better hamster seat? Silicone bands with an S-clip are a terrible way to mount a hamster seat. Plastic brackets are the standard for bike handlebars, although if your concern was making sure to share your kids with as many people as possible plastic worm-drive hose clamps are universal and can be aesthetically appealing as well.Sorry for your loss.

Cute but Lacking
I was looking for a new friend to ride along with me on my wheeled walker. Due to an injury, I needed a walker and thought that a little friend that could squeak and light up making me visible to drivers and other walkers was exactly what I needed. I read the reviews and decided on the color and helmet of my new friend. When they arrived, I quickly unwrapped the hamster and with great delight saw how cute he was! Their little squeak was just the perfect horn to be used indoors or out as it was not overly loud. Attaching my friend to my handle was quick and easy as well as placing on the helmet on my new friend. This is where I have to be a bit critical of my new friend. He already had his battery pin pulled and so I am already budgeting for his next set of batteries. While his squeak is a good volume (think rubber ducky loud), his light was a huge disappointment. He is not very bright at all and this is why he only rates 3 stars. I will say that in complete darkness he gives off a subtle nightlight brightness and that is all that he can give. At dusk and dawn he is not bright enough to make a difference or be seen by others. I did change out his batteries and there was no difference in brightness. In addition, to easily activate his lights I have to take his helmet off and that means taking my hand off the handle of my walker which I am not supposed to do.In conclusion, my new hamster buddy gets 5 stars on his horn and easy installation, and just 2 stars for brightness. I won't be returning him as he has been a great way for others to approach someone with a disability and my kids adore him. I wish he was brighter and easier to turn on so that I could buy him a buddy.

some answers to questions/complaints
Hi! I really like my new little pal. Just a couple of comments which I hope are helpful. First (to Devin),I found you need to fasten the chin strap and THEN mount it on the guy. It was not a problem. The second is that, to squeak it while the helmet is on, try pushing in his "hip" area on both sides. Ours will squeak that way.
