Batman And Robin Vol. 5: The Big Burn (The New 52)

A Seriously Underrated Run
I forgot how good Tomasi and Gleason have been doing on this series. It's easily overlooked due to the hype surrounding Snyder and Capullo's work on BATMAN, but "& Robin" is a treat for any and all Batman fans.Excellent artwork, great writing, and really good take on Two Face's origins.I love how this one ends, despite it seemingly having been disregarded for Rebirth's All-Star Batman series. It's absolutely worth your time.

To be, or not to be. That is the question.
The story revolves around two-face, specifically on his origins and how he came to be. And as some of you may know, when it comes to his origin stories, you're to expect some real quality (now it's no Long Halloween so don't get your hopes too high). Since this is a part of Peter J. Tomasi's *new 52* run it takes a new approach to Dent's origins, now involving the Irish Mafia. The story looks upon the relationship Dent has with his life and that of with the batman. By this we get to see a more human side to Dent as in the long halloween. With that they manage to make Dent reflect on his crusade of vengeance and crime which coincides with Bruce's urge to get Dent the help he needs is very much appreciated as it portrays the two-faced character in a more lighter side. Honestly, I believe this is Tomasi's best story of the run as it portrays Two-face in a unique manner, one that I've been hoping to see for quite some time.
