Better than the 3 others i've tried!
This charger is smooth and works fine through my phone case. I have the slim one with pen from samsung. This is the 3rd motorized mount I have tried with various phones and seems to by sturdier and better than my previous ones. I use it with a long window mount for my Murano than I purchased seperately.

I love this Wireless Car Charger Mount
The media could not be loaded. This is a good find on Amazon and solved my problem with using and topping up my cell phone in my car. I have a magnetic cell phone holder mounted on the windshield for a long time. When cell phones came out with wireless chargers, I came up with a solution to use the magnetic holder and the wireless charger (not at the same time). I just use a phone case with a credit card compartment at the case back. Instead of credit cards, I slip in the steel plate. Still this is a compromise. I need to use a phone holder that has a shallow credit card compartment or wireless charging does not work as well or not work at all.At times, I would just slip the steel plate inside the back of the phone case. The issue is that I need to put on and off the phone case if I want to wireless charge. Snapping on and off a case on the phone also has potential issues of lifting up the screen protector. Using a connector to charge feel stupid to me as I ditch the convenience of the wireless charging function. As soon as I unpacked this Wireless Car Charger Mount, I knew I might have an issue with mounting. I want to mount this on to my windshield not on my dashboard. I do not want to use the air vent mount as my phone is heavy and I do not want my air vent blocked. The car I want to use this Wireless Car Charger Mount has a speaker grill at the vary spot that it is supposed to be mounted. The arm that attached to the base of this mount could not be flipped. That meant it could not be windshield mounted as is. Luckily, the extended arm of this mount could be disassembled and flipped. All I did was to remove the screw and flip the extended arm. Reattached the extended arm with this same screw, problem solved. I then fit checked on the car and everything fits. With the issue of mounting solved, I tested the function of the wireless charger. I used a battery bank to power the wireless charger mount. I am delighted that the clamps are power driven. I pushed the button at the bottom and the holder, the clamps opened. Pushed it again, the clamps closed. The clamps also closed when I dropped the phone in when it was in open position. Very user friendly.More pleasant surprise awaits. This Wireless Car Charger Mount probably has an internal power source, most likely a capacitor or a small battery. This enables the clamps to operate without external power. This matters as most cigarette plug in a car does not power up until the ignition is on. That means, I can put my cell phone onto the mount before I start the car. Subsequently, I can remove my cell phone after I shut down the car. Kudos to the designer of this charger. This is a welcome feature for the user.Although on the box, it claims that this is a ‘Fast Wireless Car Charger’ and ‘Charging Efficienc: 70%’ (Charging Efficiency: - 70%). It does not appear so.The included USB cigarette lighter is rated 3.1 A which is considered as high output. However, the wireless charger shows that it only has an input of 5V 2.0 A. Output is rated at 5V 1.0 A. Charging Efficiency is rated 70%.I do not have fancy equipment but testing I did. I placed my S21 Ultra on my wireless fast charger at home and it showed it was at 57% being fast wireless charged, it will take 48 min until full. Placed the same phone on this Wireless Car Charger Mount, the phone was showing it was at 57% being wireless charged and will take 1 hour 17 min until full. I tried 2 power bricks on this Wireless Car Charger Mount, one with 2.0 A output and one with 3.0 A output. There was no difference. If my fast charger at home is 100 % efficiency with 48 min required to fully charge my phone. This Wireless Car Charger Mount is about 63 % efficiency as it requires 77 min.Is this Wireless Car Charger Mount not charging well? No, this wireless car changer performs the same as my normal wireless charger. No better no worse. It is just not a Fast Charger.I do not expect this Wireless Car Charger Mount would behave different when being used in the car. I have a more controlled environment testing at home. When I get some more time, I will be removing my magnetic Cell phone mount and replacing it with this new one. If there are any more things to report, I will update this review. In conclusion, I like this Wireless Car Charger Mount. It resolved some of my issues with my magnetic cell phone mount. While it is not a Fast-Wireless Charger, it matches my normal wireless charger at home. I love the convenience. Recommended!Update: -I just installed this Wireless Car Charger Mount. Connected it and powered up the car. After placing my S21 Ultra in it, I discovered that my phone was indicating it was being Wirelessly Fast Charged. While I could not make this car charger mount do fast charging at home. It was fast charging in the car. I play with the operation of the clamps and they worked great. If I could give this 6 Stars, this Wireless Car Charger Mount deserves it.

Stable on Air Vent, Works Well
2ND EDIT (4-April): For a week or so, the charging has been cutting in and out while I was driving. Finally took the time to figure it out: the USB-C port on the mount wiggles around and has an intermittent connection. In less than one month the charger (the 12V to 5V converter that plugs into your 12V power outlet) started to fail, and in less than two months the charging functionality of the mount started to fail. Don't buy it, it's a waste of your time and money.1ST EDIT: The charger is pretty shoddy, it doesn't seat well in my 12V outlet so it often loses power when I'm driving, and often doesn't provide power when I first get into the car. Jiggling it around gets power back, but it will lose it again.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I haven't tried suction mounting this to either my dash or windshield yet, I'm not sure exactly which car and what position I want it in "permanently". - Note the orientation of the phone holder in the listing photos: it's designed for landscape mode, but works as well in portrait mode. - The air vent mounting is good. Slightly below the two pieces that actually clamp onto a louver in the vent there are a couple of "legs" that touch the dash and keep things pretty stable with no sag. - Opens quite large, easily fits an S20, I would assume no problems with even bigger phones - Articulation of phone holder is good: easy to rotate between landscape and portrait mode, easy to tilt up/down left right so it faces just the way you want, but still enough resistance that the mount stays in the orientation you set it. - The vent mount does not telescope, the phone sits 3-4 inches from the dash and air-vent. The suction mount is a little longer, the phone sits maybe 7 inches from the suction cup, but it also does not telescope. I'm good without telescopes, I think this makes everything more stable. - The power adapter could be smaller, but it's fine. It has two USB-A ports, one labeled QC3.0 and the other labeled 3.1A. - With my S10e, with the battery around 30-35%, charging is at around 1.25A. - The auto-clamping of the phone holder when it detects a phone works pretty well, with one limitation. Iin portrait orientation, with a smaller phone like an S10e, if you just drop it into the holder it is pretty far off center (because the "jaws" of the holder are fully open) and the wireless charging coil in the charger is too far away from the wireless charging coil of the phone: the phone is not detected, the jaws don't close, and charging doesn't start. For a smaller phone in portrait orientation, you need to make sure to "swipe" your phone across the center of the holder, to make sure it detects your phone. Really, no big deal, just a small limitation.Overall, this is a good charger, if you are looking for a wireless charger to hold your phone where you can see it, in landscape orientation. If I wanted my phone primarily in portrait orientation, I'd probably get a slightly different charger that would be just slightly more convenient to get it in and out of the holder.

Automated Phone Mount - It's one of those Fancy Ones
Alright Amazon Adventurers, so you're looking for a wireless phone mount. Well this may be the one you get. This is an automated phone mount which means that it requires power to use, unless you have the size preset to your phone.Out of the box the phone mount is set to the smallest size possible. You're not able to change the size by hand you must connect a USB-C and click the silver button for the mount to open up for larger phones. Even though it can be placed in the portrait orientation the grip is definitely meant for landscape. The mounting brackets and options were great it does provide a suction cup but the angles on it were not the best.Likes:When you place your phone inside the unit it detects that it's charging I assume and the grips around start to close in on your phone. Very convenient but as mentioned pretty fancy as well.If you're in the market for a fancy mount to wow your friends and to have the convenience of something that automatically locks onto your phone look no further this is the one for you.
