I actually love this stuff. The instructions say to use up to 4 pumps to coat your beard for shaving, but I have found that unnecessary and wasteful. At that rate, this bottle would NEVER last 180 shaves like the seller claims, but if you can get by with one pump, it just may... It's not really meant to lather, but it WILL lather if you apply with some vigor. I rub it into the part of my beard that I am not shaving, which acts as an agitator, of sorts, and can get a pretty nice lather out of this stuff, too. Best of all (saving the best for last), my shaves are ultra smooth, comfortable and close. The best I've ever been able to achieve and this stuff SMELLS GREAT!!!!!! My face smells good, all day. It reminds me of being in my uncle's barber shop when I was a kid. I will be a repeat customer, no question. I don't ever want to shave with any other product but this.UPDATE: I was running low on my last bottle of this amazing product and was SO GLAD to see it back for sale. I don't want to have to shave with any other product!

I have used several shaving oils and this is easily the best I have used. I haven't found another that's close. It is also a great value. I never write reviews but this product is worth my time.

I met one of the creators of OPR at a women's convention in Michigan a few summers back and he convinced me to give this shaving soap a try. I didn't care for the women's scents as much so I got the Bay Rum scent. Wow. Shaving cream has got nothing on this! I shave *everything* with this soap and it's made shaving so much better. No dry skin, smells good, not as messy as shaving cream, and lasts a long time (7-8 months for me!). Thanks to OPR for making a fantastic product that I will continue buying:)

Not having a face full of lather took a bit of mental adjustment after five decades of shaving with creams, soaps and gels, but I'll never go back to the old ways. Hands down, this is the closest and most comfortable shave I've ever had. I'm amazed at how smooth my face feels afterward. Razor burn and nicks are a thing of the past, particularly on my Adam's apple and in the tight angles under the nose and jawline. Splash your face a couple of times during the shave, and you'll be good.I wish this had been around fifty years ago.

Works perfectly well as advertised. The bottle, despite claims to the contrary, is idiot proof. The soap does lather to a degree, but not like other shave soaps. It is slippery which provides a decent shave.Why four stars and not five? Overall it's just okay, no better than okay, its very good. But to read some of these reviews you'd expect Angie Dickinson to pop out of the bottle and shave you. Alas, this doesn't happen. I don't know how many shaves can be had from a single bottle, probably more than a few. I'll get tired of the smell long before I run out of it.In summary, it's good stuff and probably worth a try, but the lack of 1960s hottie jumping out of the bottle is a bit of disappointment.

As with ALL shave soaps and creams, you wished the smell would last. It doesn't...but still gets a 5 star because is smells great in the shower and makes shaving so smooth. Better than the Khiels that I used to spend a fortune on.

Been shaving for a LONG, LONG time! Lets say 50 years. I have tried every type of shaving gel, cream, soap, you name it, been there done that. I have been using the shave puck and brush for years now. Its cheap, it works, and if you find the right soap and brush, it is old school perfection, but after using this product, I am here to tell you that you need to try this stuff. It is quite simply awesome. I can honestly tell you that I have never had a more close shave. I am ordering more right after I finish up this review. It will last a long while, but I'm not taking a chance on this stuff going away! Please try it. You wont be sorry.
