Surprisingly great little Wind-meeter

Great fun product
Works great. The wind speed displayed closely matches what my cell phone app says the wind speed is.

Broke at the first time use
Upon first use straight from the box, the head came off. Not impressed.

Poor Quality Product that is Unfit for Purpose
The anemometer is supposed to measure wind speed. The spindle, which connects the rotating cups to the generator has to be as friction-free as possible to be able to give an accurate reading of wind.On this model, the spindle was seated improperly, (it was in contact with the housing) and so did not turn freely. The unit, when tested against another (calibrated) anemometer, read 2.8 knots, when the reading should have been 10 knots.

Great handheld anemometer!!
I am a RC boat sailor and this anemometer is very useful in determining what size sail to use. The fact it is omnidirectional makes it superior to the blade models. The tripod mount is a valuable feature for a temporary fixed location.This is a GREAT VALUE, very USEFUL in many applications, and FUN!!
