Q: Can these also be used witha double burner type camping stove?

I would say yes. My only concern would be the size of the flame pattern. If the flame pattern is a larger diameter than the pot then there will be wasted heat and possibly damage to the handle. I use mine with three different types of stove. And they work well. The heat exchanger kettle really shortens to boil time and acts as a bit of a wind deflector. Hope this helps. Happy camping.

I don't believe there Is a whistle, definitely not when purchased and I have never heard of one aftermarket.
