I’ve had my share of tv remote and while I do appreciate the slim design, I’m not a fan of the way you can remove the back. From time to time remotes do fall in the floor for one reason or another being operator error or unruly pets and or people. This causes the back plate to fly off and the batteries to pop out many times. There are no small rubber grips or anything to keep it from sliding off surfaces, it’s just rounded and smooth, and falls easily if moving furniture just slightly. Sometimes the back will fall off and the buttons will pop under the faceplate causing it not to function until you fix it back. Mine ended up cracking. Don’t get me wrong, I know I probably could do a better job of keeping it in a good place but it seems like that’s impossible. I mean before they started making remotes this thin, they were never really a big issue for a “standard” thickness. I’m going to try ordering a different one for backup.
