My niece gives it four stars.
Bought this as a gift for my niece despite the bad reviews because it was the only thing she asked for for her birthday. My sister reports that she loves it! Not sure how durable it will be or how long it will hold her attention. Gave it four stars because my niece seems to be getting a lot of use out of it for the time being and really enjoys it.

Savings with Amazon
I cannot rate the product, it was a gift for an unknown child. I went to several WalMarts, Toys-R-Us, Kaybee etc to find this toy for a church project. At these places it was listed for $25 to $28. It was not available anywhere. I ordered it from Amazon for $9.99 and even with two day shipping it was cheaper than any store in the area.

It's NIce
The cupcake maker is nice. It takes some getting use to, but its pretty easy to use. My 6 year old daughter likes it and she enjoyed eating her cupcake, too! Just beware of frosting the cupcake. The frosting tube needs to be right above the cupcake or it will get a little messy. Make sure the frosting is a nice consistency, if its too watery... that's where the mess comes in. Enjoy...

Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker
This is a piece of junk. The cupcakes taste bad, they only fit the trays for the toy. Our granddaughter really wanted this after all the ads, but was very disappointed when she tried to use it.

Fun for a 9yr old +
I bought this for my ten yr who likes to make things we played with it together. It would not be fun for a very young child because it took a little care working with it. But all in all fun.
