I caught a few good trout on these, I'm very surprised on how well it works

Was a bit skeptical that this lure would outproduce my old stand by Kastmaster. The gold color with the red and black dots looked a bit silly to me and like nothing I saw swimming in the lake. Well I was wrong. This little spoon just trolled slowly behind my kayak caught all the trout I could want. Where I was fishing there is a 4 trout limit daily and I was able to get that each day in under an hour. Since the trout were not very big (typical stockers say 9-12 inches, 14inches would be a good one) I would switch over to bass fishing once I had my limit but had no doubt I could have caught trout all day on this little spoon. I had planned to add some in line sinkers if the fish were deeper but never had to do that, however I suspect that would work well too. The fish were hitting the Kastmaster as well but this spoon had a much better hook up ratio and got more bites period. Get a few. You will not regret it.

The size is bigger than I was expecting. It would be good for salmon and larger trout. But’ it’s kinda big for planted rainbows. The treble hooks are rather large (about size 4). I plan to replace them with maybe size 8 or 10 trebles. It’s a genuine Bouyant, but kinda big for smaller fish.

Would be five stars if I had caught a fish using this lure already. Quality and color is top quality.

Thomas lures are great and these are no exception. A friend of mine's dad has been fishing where I live (Oregon) his entire life and Thomas are the lures he swears by. Keep in mind these are pretty light - so best casted with an ultralight trout setup if you want to have any appreciable distance.

These lures work great toplining rainbow trout.

Bought several of these TB (T102) strictly because of the price. Sure these lures work great on trout and can be casts a good distance with 4lb (maxima green line) test to cover more ground. All I did was downsize (step down one size) the trebles. I find that the smaller size trebles hook more trout.
