Honey, a fork can be used. Metal knives are not recommended as they will scratch the plate. Steaks can be cut on a wooden board and eaten on a plate with a fork. thanks

Q: How big is the flat inner circle (inside the rim) of the flat 25cm plate?

Sorry but my plates are a different design to the ones pictured, they are more of a shallow dish.
