Handmade Carbon Steel Machete - 18.40 Inch Full Tang Hunting Knife with Wooden Handle 9987

Actually I like everything about it. Looks good, feels good, works good. After using it more I might change my mind, but for now I will recommend it.

This is a full tang Malaysian styled machete. It is made in Pakistan and is not true to a traditional duku chadong. That being said it’s a 3/16’sthick beast made with decent steal and has great ergonomics. It definitely chops well and I would imagine will last a long time . I would not hesitate to buy again.

This is a very nicely made and impressively designed machete/cleaver hybrid (that’s what comes to mind in my opinion) that has a surprisingly nice feel considering the proportions. The blade comes pretty sharp, with what appears to be a quality coating and the wooden handle has a simple quality feel but with a touch of style at the rounded base. The sheathe isn’t the greatest but…it is indeed leather (which is unfortunately still saying something considering a lot of what’s out there).I’ll sum it up with this…weird but worth it.

This has a great weight and is heavier then a lot of modern machetes (some of which are just too lightweight). The sheath is nice and my only complaint is that the handle strap is not secured to the sheath and can spin when you try to unclip it making it harder for doing so with one hand. This isn't a major issue and I just stitched this in place. The blade arrived already pretty sharp.
