Doest it have a glossy or matte finish (is it reflecting light ?)

Yes, but its not the same kind of glossy that a cheaper screen would have, its sort of...deep looking. I'm comparing directly against the Samsung s32d850t which has a great matte finish. While the Philips does display reflections as well as light, the amount of interference isn't that much different on each. On the matte screen, you get a blotch of light where on the Philips you get the detail of whats being reflected as well as the blotch around it - so I've found the light appearing on screen from reflections is about even. For example, I have a backlit keyboard, on the Philips I can see the key letters as well as a bright ring of light around each, on the Samsung, I can't identify the letters being reflected, but the same bright ring remains. Even in a bright room, I've had zero issues with reflections on this one despite the glossy finish.

how are the speakers?

Audio from the monitor speaker is HORRIBLE. Don't rely on it as your audio source for music or movies as it sounds terrible.
