Modern Etiquette for a Better Life: Master All Social and Business Exchanges

Just perfect: covers most situations and is concise yet thorough. It can be read cover to cover, something I recommend and because it's not too wordy and an easy thing to do, or used as a reference for particular situations. I will have my 13 year old read this as well as participate in cotillion. I most definitely did not grow up in an environment where anything beyond basic etiquette was taught, and after some business success I have seen a tremendous need for a more thorough understanding of etiquette. Now that I have explored this further, I wish I would have been taught etiquette to more easily maneuver social and business interactions as a young teenager and then again in college for the business world as the information would have made life much easier for me and given me less barriers to success, something I believe I achieved anyway but with much more effort than was necessary. Great book to read and then hold on to.

My co-work told me about this book. I ordered it right away for my niece as a Christmas gift. But before I wrap it, I read it first. Very good book. I asked her a few days after Christmas have she had time to read it, and she fell in love with the book. I told her in a joking matter, if she did not want the book please return it back to me, and she said No Way, it my book and I'm keeping it and it had a lot of etiquette she did not know of or about.This book needs to be in schools around the USA.. Real Talk :-) .

Very vague, great tips but this is more like a google search for manners. Not very thorough in the information and it’s like a updated version. In my opinion it’s lacking more images and better, lacking some history behind the purpose of certain etiquette , etc.. you will finish this book in a couple of hours.

My young daughter was annoyed at this gift (they take everything so personally), however I had read great reviews in different places and she ended up reading and enjoying this guide. I think that I even got a "thank you" a few months later. Practical commentary for living a more refined life. I recommend this for any age or gender, what's the worst that can happen?
