Good value - holds well...
I was building boxes for my wife's soap sales and was testing different latches to see which held better. I tried these and the other set I'm reviewing and both held the box closed tightly. Both were sturdy and felt good. They're not "thin and flimsy" as some reviewers have posted. Both work equally well. I consider both of these to be a good value.

Latches
These latches worked great. They are large profile so they work better on larger drawers. I used them for decorative purposes only. Liked these so much I just ordered more for my second suitcase dresser.

Easy to install and secure
Used these to restore an old guitar case. It was much more affordable than buying a new hardshell case. Pretty easy to install and very secure.

Four Stars
Look good as advertised, but haven't tried them yet.

Functional
Bought these to fix a case hoping they would be sturdier than what was available in the hardware store, but are the same cheap claps. They hold the case together, but don't seem particularly robust.

well made catch
Used to keep 2 halves of a kitchen table closed up. They came with screws but I used my own, as they had a very small Philips head on them.

Strictly adequate, no more
These are just adequate as long as you're not hoping for much. In case you're comparing (as I was) the Schlage latches of the same size -- they're nearly identical. The screws supplied are slightly different but not enough to matter. And I haven't found any latches like this of GOOD quality -- more's the pity since I'd be glad to pay for heavier weight and more precise action. Meanwhile I guess these will have to do. I'd certainly never attach them to any project that I was proud of.
