Are these earthenware, stoneware or porcelain? These are all different types of ceramic which impacts microwave efficiency and how easily they chip.

They are earthenware and are the most amazing colours. I love mine and am just waiting for the tulip coffee cups to be available. Obviously earthenware does chip so be careful, but a great product.

Are these mugs completely glazed or is bits of glaze missed around the cups on purpose

The mugs are fully glazed, but the coloured glaze is applied to leave a vertical stripe of white where the handles are and the top and bottom of the handles are also left white. It is a deliberate style choice.
